As we predicted on April 2nd….
As of today, April 26, 2016, Ted Cruz is mathematically eliminated from winning the Republican nomination outright.
On April 2nd we predicted that Donald Trump would have 953 delegates as of today (needing only 284 delegates for the nomination) and that Cruz would have 550 delegates as of today (needing 687 to win the nomination).
We also predicted that only 634 delegates would remain and therefore Cruz would need more delegates than would be available.
Ted Cruz is eliminated.
It is clear that Cruz was eliminated tonight.
After winning all five primaries tonight — Connecticut, Rhode Island, Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania — Donald Trump has 949 delegates so far.
Ted Cruz finished third in Connecticut, Maryland, Delaware and Rhode Island.

May I recommend: “These are sad, sad times for FR—woe, what have we become when passing ruffians like this knave invoke toilet humor to disparage a fine, fine man like Ted Cruz. We were once a great site, but now we’re not because my guy got shelled today like the Bismark.”
Try to put the shoe on the other foot. If Cruz had managed to squeak out a victory on the second ballot, you not be rather sad and angry?
A lot of the Cruz advocates really believe in the guy. It has to be very hard to see for the third or 4th primary season a candidate you did not want to see win, win.
A wise man does not lord it over a defeated foe, give it time and most will come around, as long as trump fans do not gloat. if Trump fans gloat and continue to insult a man respected by many, then a lot of them will sit out the election.
At one point had 30 % of the traditional republican party members support, he likely still has in the high 20s nationally.
Something to think about before Trump fans gloat.

You know, I wonder about his run in the first place: he was born in Canada to, at most, one citizen parent — running with that as 'qualification' doesn't engender "constitutional conservatism", but rather something that degrades the Constitution's natural born citizen requirement by setting such a weak qualification as precedent.
That's a pretty breathtaking gap, if one is honest and objective. There's no overcoming something like that at a contested convention. The voters wouldn't stand for it, and neither would the delegates themselves. Why? Because they want to win in November.
I pray that Ted Cruz bows out with sincerity and grace, and tries at this late stage to help unify the party, repudiates the "NeverTrump" movement, and becomes part of a Donald Trump administration, either as VP, USSC Justice, cabinet member, or something inclusive and constructive. that suits his prodigious abilities.
To be honest, I think Ted Cruz got a little bit carried away with ambition this time. He;s young, and if he makes the right decision now, his political future can remain bright.
It's time for unity and healing. Past time.
Wouldn't it be great to see Ted Cruz do this, and then leave Kasich as the jilted VP wannabe? Not saying Cruz would be VP, but Kasich certainly wouldn't. Or will Trump go ahead and pick him to help ensure that he locks down Ohio in the general election?

There are more advanced topics in mathematics such as 'analytic continuation of functions', the Riemann-Zeta function, etc. which I can't fully comprehend that suggest that in some sense the sum of all positive integers is -1/12.
The physicist who did the equations claims that since they can use this weird summation result in String Theory that it must be right.
I'm more leaning toward the idea that if that's what they have to rely on to make sense of String Theory, then there's probably something wrong with String Theory.

Cruz had his chance, didn’t he? He keeps struggling on the campaign trail. His main success is with straw polls and delegates.
You had Rush, Levin, and Beck all carrying water for the guy. Hannity was balanced. FoxNews even tried to sabotage Trump. NRO called Trump ‘Hitler’ and ‘KKK’.
Cruz is losing despite all of that. This was his to win, but he kept ducking opportunities to shine on issues.

He is working for the GOPe’s.
