In what many are calling “The End” for Ted Cruz’s presidential bid, Donald Trump ran away with the North East, sweeping PA, CT, RI, MD, and DE in epic Trump-fashion.
It will become increasingly difficult for an already mathematically eliminated Ted Cruz to continue to justify staying in a race after this monumental shellacking.
Ted has defended his odd decision to stay in the race by claiming that Trump has no path to 1237. After tonight’s humiliating defeat will anyone seriously buy what Ted’s trying to sell?

No way can Walker be the VP. Trump loses genersl election with that pick. You might not like the working class but that is who will carry us to the White House if we don’t scare them away. Anti worker VP big, big mistake. Just sayin.
So then it WOULD be the one who has promised to make deals with Democrats and has donated extensively to them in the past? Got it!
Trump’s core tenet, inasmuch as he seems to have one, is ‘winning’.
Right now ‘winning’ means feeding red meat to the base. When he gets to DC, ‘winning’ is going to mean making deals with the entrenched power structure. All they’ll have to do is stroke his ego a bit, and he’ll cozy up to the Establishment at warp speed.
I can’t speak for the rest of the country, but where I come from we don’t reconcile with liars, cheaters and low-lifes. Or Globalists seeking to destroy the sovereignty of the USA.

I was hoping that Cruz and Trump would unite.
Between them, they can pull a majority for sure vs. She Who Must Not Be Named.
But doubt it now...Cruz (and Trump) have poisoned their relationships too much.
Cruz should have known Trump tends to leave folks alone who don’t attack him. But Cruz camp did the “naked” Mrs. Trump which triggered Trump’s counter attack and things went downhill from there.
Peace could have been made at that point but Cruz’s stuff about not copulating with a snake, etc, destroyed chances for a peace treaty and alliance.
Then Cruz goes warm and fuzzy with Kaisick....who is GOPe all the way...further mistake on Cruz’s part.
For a really smart guy, Cruz has conducted a dumb campaign.
A pity. I think he would be a better Prez than Trump...doesn’t “deal” as much.

If you are a Cruz supporter this thread would seem harsh I agree with you. But we do love Cruz supporters. They are good and honorable people. Cruz became his undoing. I think his supporters see that and understand.

Trump is NOT a “liberal” and as the presumptive GOP nominee, you many posts, on this thread, trashing him and his supporters are an anathema to Jim Robinson and the vast majority of FREEPERS.
This election is about ONE THING: GLOBALISM vs. PATRIOTISM (sovereignty).
Assuming you are like every other Cruzer who's been here and thankfully departed, you don't have a clue what I'm talking about because you refuse to INFORM yourself, read, research---on the Internet that is right in front of you, free to use.

We’ll see. We have yet to see how far to the center or left Trump will run in the general. I’m afraid it will be more than a lot of people will be comfortable with.
Until I can assure myself that Trump isn’t going to sell us out, he won’t get my vote.
I have never seen one Cruzer who could converse intelligently about the issues of our time, the issues brought up by Donald Trump. They’re stuck in the 20th century, fighting the last war. thank God for visionaries like Washington, Jackson, Reagan and Trump.
So how are you going to convince me? Insults aren’t the way to do it.
