House Speaker Paul Ryan concedes the five-point Republican legislative agenda hes pursuing in Congress could be construed as competing with policy points the GOP presidential candidates are pushing in the primary season.
But he argues that the party shouldnt wait until its nominating convention in July to tell the public its priorities, including lowering the national debt, strengthening the military and easing government regulation of business. [
]
Ryan adds that the GOP needs a transition from being an opposition party to being a proposition party.

Except that a every Democratic country on Earth has opposition parties. Whereas a proposition party is something that DOES NOT EXIST.

Believe me Mr. Ryan, no one sees the GOPe as an opposition party! However, we CRAVE an opposition party — and that explains Mr. Trump’s popularity more than anything else.

Is he suggesting the Republicans go on offense instead of playing defense all the time?
If so, I agree.

Sean Hannity begged Ryan months ago to publicly formalize the party’s agenda. He hasn’t done so.

He is correct, but not in the sense he means it.
One cannot conclude that the GOPe has opposed Obama on much of anything.
Their lack of fortitude is what has made them irrelevant.

The progressives in the GOP do not oppose the progressives in the Dem party? Shocking. Not exactly breaking news here.
