Allies of Sen. Ted Cruz are now targeting conservative legend Phyllis Schlafly, a leading grassroots anti-establishment voice for half a century, because Schlafly endorsed billionaire businessman Donald Trump for president in the 2016 GOP primary.
Several Cruz supporters inside Eagle Forum are unhappy with Phyllis Schlafly’s Trump endorsement, and have been working behind the scenes against her for months. They have leaked emails, engaged in personal attacks, and even advanced an argument questioning whether the 91-year-old Schlafly is still competent enough to run the organization. Now, several board members of one wing of the tripartite Eagle Forum organization have for the first time in more than four decades of existence called together a special board meeting at which they purported to have voted to remove Schlafly’s handpicked successor as president of the organization and claim to have seized control of the organization and its bank accounts from the longtime activist.

No. Trump’s supporters are from across the board. He has the most impressive segments of anyone. He is high in every single segment of the economy.
Cruz on the other hand. Is not.
Look at the data people. Cruz is full of baloney. He needs to stand down, before he totally screws America, by throwing what is becoming a GOP landslide, to the GOPe.
We are in a country, where the GOPe has sold us out for the entire last generation to foreign powers.
One entire generation.
Trump is the only person standing up for America.
He is the leader America needs.
Cruz needs to stand down.
This was in the ERA battle decades ago, and she was the leading-light nationwide in defeating the liberal attempt to hijack the Constitution.
Phyllis was in attendance at one of our FReeper banquets in DC some years ago. She is a FOUNDING MOTHER of today's conservative movement. It's disgusting to hear of the foul take-over of her signature organization and of Cruz siccing his dogs on her in such a disrespectful fashion.

It is very unsavory, and if his daughter thinks she did something good for the organization, I’ve got news for her.

She’s an icon & has been right on so many issues. I hope the rest of her family can rally around her. I’m astounded at the depths of depravity the Cruz people will stoop to. I listen to these Cruz people call my local talk radio show & the filth that comes out of their mouths...who are these people, really ?
This goes back to Roe and Cruz being birds of a feather...or a pair of snakes in the grass. HE makes Karl Rove’s history of dirty tricks look like a practice run.

I ran across a video of Tead showing him in his early college days referencing women in public like 13 or 14 year olds do in private. It was off color and demeaning.
With all the prevalent video clips out there today, I didn’t give it much thought at the time. Then later on it hit me. This was about 1988 to 1990. Who had a video camera with them in those days? And somehow this clip is on the internet today.
I think Ted must like it being out there. Perhaps he thinks it makes him look like a ladies man. No, it makes him look like he never had a date with anything other than an inflatable.
He seems like he was one of those weird precocious guys that didn’t have any common sense. And if I read him right, he’s still got that problem today.
He has made some very big unforced errors IMO.
This is another one. So what if the Eagle Forum didn’t endorse him. Shake it off and move on. Folks would forget in a matter of weeks if not days.
As you said, he didn’t distance himself. He certainly should have.
It is not just this issue. Trump and Cruz should be united against Clinton. Trump has flung just as much poo or more as Cruz but to but be involved in this coup in the Eagle Forum is not where an honorable candidate should be expending political capital, IMHO. Trump should hold his fire and stop his bully act, Cruz should stop his behind the scenes plotting and they should let go their ego, hatred and turn that firepower on Clinton. Clinton is the death star that must be obliterated.

Ted Cruz brings out the worst in people. He’s like a insane cult leader.

I know that because they called some of my best people and asked them to work for Cruz. The only way they could have gotten that calling list is getting it leaked by somebody who is not loyal to me.
