On a break during a business trip to Washington last year, David Panton hailed a cab to take him to the Capitol. He told the driver he was going to see the Texas senator and presidential candidate Ted Cruz.
Hes racist, the cabdriver replied, according to Mr. Panton.
Mr. Panton, taken aback, informed his driver that Mr. Cruz had a bust of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on the right side of his desk, that he was the only senator to attend the funeral of Nelson Mandela and that he had a black guy as a college roommate and best man at his wedding.
I dont believe that, the cabby said, as Mr. Panton tells it.
Well, Mr. Panton replied, youre talking to him.

In classic Ted Cruz fashion, the link takes you to the New York Times STORE! Where you can buy stuff you don’t need! Well, at least Heidi is not asking you for $5, $10, whatever you can give. ;-)
Most likely bought, like his delegates.
Nice, positive article!
Thanks for the link. Good article.
Yes, it is good. I wonder why he doesn’t show more of his personal side.
Noce article. But apparently, there are some people here who take great pleasure in trashing a GOP Senator, and so anything positive about Cruz is something they dismiss.
Cruz has had some interviews with his wife and children. They were very good. Heidi is an asset and the eight year old girl is very bright. The younger one is only 5.

The link worked for me. It took two clicks though.
This is like the 2nd or 3rd positive article the New York Times published on Ted Cruz, that speaks volumes to me.
I watched one of those. Very nice. I just wish he’d show more of his “real” self as opposed to his “campaign” persona. I think he’d get more support. It’s the opposite with Trump. People seem to like his performance side. I’m just worried about his real side. ; )
Gee that’s so impressive that we can’t even get to it
“he could depend on Mr. Panton his former roommate, debate teammate, business partner and political booster ...”
My opinion of the Anointed One has come from his actions on the campaign trail.
“very revealing article debunking a lot of garbage spoken of Cruz in the pages of Free Republic “
Who? Who on FR ever called Cruz a racist?
A selfish career lawyer who’d con your mother out of her last dime and tell her that GOD told him to do it for a BS campaign he can’t win, YES. But racist? Nah.
Erkel and PeeWee.
Thanks for posting, nice article.
