As he gets closer to the GOP nomination Donald Trump is beginning to look like a political chameleon, adapting his campaign to more aptly fit the mold of a party nominee.
It's a big step for Trump and appears to be a departure from his usual campaign practices as it is in fact a move that candidates often make.
Describing how it is typical of candidates, especially those who secure the nomination, to "pivot towards," the general electorate, Daniel P. Franklin, Associate Professor of Political Science at Georgia State explained the candidates go from appealing to the center of the party to the center of the general electorate.
Trump, Franklin said, is transitioning from a running a populist campaign to a standard campaign.

You can expect to see a lot of the more controversial themes that he espoused to be "reframed" or outright disavowed in coming weeks. I wouldn't take that too seriously as this is part of Act II of the Kabuki Theater that's being played out. If he gets it right, not only will he win but he'll have an unstoppable majority in Congress to help him enact his agenda. If he doesn't, then it could all be lost.
So it's our job as ordinary citizens to sit back, place our trust in the process, and hope that his handlers do their jobs so that he will emerge victorious.

I will support his candidacy because he is the only option available to prevent the Hildabeast from becoming President.
The GOPe may not be that smart.

Manafort said Trump had acknowledged the need to moderate his personality ahead of a possible general election campaign.

I saw it already when he spoke before the congressional committee. He was professional. He was arguing against Reagans tax plan and recommending loosening the credit laws for real estate, but hey, at least he looked good. Enjoy!

Is your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life? Better check, because the signs of the times tell me that “God” has sent Donald Trump as a type of Samson to judge America. An America that has gone after foreign gods, and forsaken the One and the Living God.
Actually, I think the prospect of a Trump Presidency will cause the Russians and the Iranians to preemptively attack the US as part of their attack on Israel.
In Ezekiel 38, two distinct attacks are described. Biblical scholars have always taken them both to be about Israel, but only the second description specifically mentions Israel. The first is more general, and is hard to fit with the walled cities of current Israel. But it fits the United States pretty well.

That pretty much describes a pre-Trump America. Particularly the part, “against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land.”
Then YHWH, through Ezekiel, continues:
14 “Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD:
“On that day when My people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it?
15 “Then you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you,

It’s “the art of the deal”. He’s said what he needed to say and been who he need to be to close the deal. Now that he’s the “presumptive nominee” the deal is done and he’s working on the next one.

Please think about this a little more clearly. When you are standing before the Great White Throne of Judgement, and the Book of Your Life is opened, what are you going to be able to say to Jesus when he asks you about this “disgusting crap” about His servant Donald J. Trump?

Every time Donald Trump says, “I love you!” to a crowd, I am reminded when Jesus said:
John 13
34 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
35 “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

I can understand the portrayal and acting to communicate since 80% of human language is body language. However, foundational principles of policy are not negotiable.
The reason this world is in this mess is because of pre-born genocide. No negotiating with the blood of the innocent. Don’t worry though. It’s such an important part of DT’s campaign that life is not mentioned on the website as of last week. Haven’t checked within the last couple of days.
Do not judge a candidate based on their speeches DURING a campaign, look at their values BEFORE they run for office. Trump is not a conservative, though he is conservative on several issues. Trump is not a liberal, though he is historically liberal on several issues. I expect his stances will start to drift back to the left on the issues before the election. If he wins, I expect to see a lot of upset people that believed the campaigning stance Trump over the historical stance Trump.

That is an excellent point, one I've tried to make many times, but never as succinctly as you have.
Trump has a track record going back decades.
One of the key issues (values) he has honed in on is the importance of actually KEEPING the promises made during the sale.
It's been a key to building a $10 billion empire.
Keeping promises has been job one in his book, and bodes well for America.
