LONDON President Barack Obama faced a furious backlash on his visit to the U.K. Friday, accused of hypocrisy by lawmakers including the mayor of London after intervening in Britain's national referendum on the European Union.
The president was accused of an "incoherent" and "perverse" intervention in the country's acrimonious debate after urging British voters to remain in the political bloc.
Mayor Boris Johnson, who is also the leader of the anti-EU campaign, also speculated that "part-Kenyan" Obama was expressing an "ancestral dislike of the British empire."
Britons will vote in a June 23 referendum on whether to remain in the EU or leave. The so-called Brexit debate has divided the country (PDF) and its political establishment.

Does anyone listen to the lame duck in the White House anymore?
Inconsequential
They need to exit the EU. This is big.
Never should have entered it. Just a ploy for one world government.
Half-Kenya Half Kommie all pansy, the little dirtbag.
I checked...you haven’t used “perverse”
:)
If I were President my statement on this would be:
The people of the UK are capable of deciding what they believe is best for them. I will hold no ill feelings no matter what the people decide. As a sovereign nation the UK has every right to determine its own path in the future.
The shame is that our own ‘conservatives’ would only direct these kinds of effective insults toward other conservatives, never toward a democrat and certainly not toward Homobama.
very good! but - you are not a “incoherent” “perverse” “part-Kenyan” i’m guessing? lol
Many of the financial wizards I’ve talked to have no love for the EU because of the imbalance of the various countries within it and the strengths and weakness of those countries compared to one another. One told me that if GB does leave it will cause some financial turmoil on the world markets but it would be temporary.
couldn’t help it, i had to go see what the posters at NBC had to say..... :O
no love for Bambi... at all.... lmao..
You guess correctly.
I also did not call for boycotting France when they didn’t allow our planes to overfly them for the Libyan raid years ago. France is a sovereign nation as well (for now) until the plague of islam destroys it from within like a parasite does a host.
LOL! Cheers!
He did say that, absent the feelings part. You should read the op-ed that he wrote. I think he made a good case. (No, I’m not a fan of the EU.)
Prime Minister Cameron is campaigning for Britain to stay in the EU and welcomed Obama’s views. Churchill’s grandson also welcomed Obama’s views on the issue.
That is because I am.
Yes.
Why is this so hard for people to understand.
Same goes for each country’s immigration policies. It is not for people of one nationality to tell people of another nationality what their immigration laws should be. Be the good, bad or indifferent ... it is still not their place to tell another sovereign nation what to do.
That goes for the USA too telling other countries what to do and how/when to do it. We need to butt out of other country’s business.
Hey, come on - just because he’s a semi-literate homosexual is no reason to be disrespectful....
That goes for the USA too telling other countries what to do and how/when to do it.
This bears repeating over and over and over......
