GUTHRIE: Do you believe in raising taxes on the wealthy?
TRUMP: I do. I do – including myself. I do.
That was...this morning, in an interview that featured some other controversial statements. In fairness to Trump, he's been using the "raise taxes on rich people like me" line for months, embracing Obama-style class warfare tax gimmicks like the 'Buffet Rule.' But raising taxes on anyone, an outcome Trump just re-endorsed, is not what his formal policy agenda proposes. Just the opposite. As we've seen on issues such immigration, abortion and foreign policy, Trump routinely makes clear that he isn't familiar with his own positions. His stances aren't rooted in conviction, coherent ideological underpinnings or governing philosophy. They "evolve" and morph depending on how Trump is feeling in any given moment. Some professed conservatives may be perfectly comfortable voting for a tax-hiking, entitlement reform-opposing critic of Ronald Reagan's tax cuts. But many Republicans, including a 62 percent majority of GOP primary voters thus far, aren't eager to turn the keys of the party over to someone whose record and current statements build a strong case against the proposition that he's reliable conservative -- or much of a conservative at all. Parting thought: It's astonishing that this man appeals to people who loathe establishment "insider" types. Earlier in the answer above, longtime Democratic donor chuckles with multimillionaire celebrity newsman Matt Lauer about all the fancy parties they've attended together with hotshot bankers in New York. Man of the people.

Trump’s wealth is in real estate - the value of American land. You can’t export that.
Works if you have a loud enough megaphone and carry a big stick. Pence was ineffective at both.
Just wait until he is in office. Those tons of promises, like the huge beautiful wall, will vanish.
He will rule like a king from the left.
Waaaaaaaaa, fricking cry baby.
What insults?
The conversation thus far is how The Don is wanting to tax the rich (really the middle class), is pro abortion and is really for amnesty as he said in interviews.
I would say The Don who is the one who is insulting to even be in the race for president
His tax plan is on his position statements site. Rule of thumb here. Cruz lies,so you have to go to the original source for anything Cruz claims Trump said

“But to Trumpbots, this wont matter.”
I one of ‘em — a Trump supporter — and it matters to ME. I think the most wealthy person should be taxed at exactly the same percentage rate as the poorest person.
When you begin removing the incentives to become wealthy, eventually people lose their ambitions. People’s hopes and dreams become nonexistent, or mediocre at best. As the number of wealthy decreases, the opportunities they can provide to the others, via jobs, etc., also decrease. We become a plain vanilla society.
I don’t like this idea of Trump’s at all.
“Wow.. Trumps on a roll today. Trannies, abortion and taxes..”
I disagree with Trump on taxes, but it isn’t a “today” thing; he’s always said he raise taxes on the rich. Pay attention.
“I disagree with Trump on taxes, but it isnt a today thing; hes always said he raise taxes on the rich. Pay attention.”
Is that so...
How about YOU pay attention?
Tell us where you’re seeing mention of yesterday’s announced tax hike in his plan (and please don’t insult yourself by claiming the lessening of deductions for the wealthy qualifies as a “tax hike.”)

WooHoo!!!!! Finally, a Republican who understands tax structure!!!!
Now that’s funny!!!!
“If tax rates were lowered economic activity would increase and tax revenues to the government would increase. Isnt that what Reaganomics was all about? If Trump is saying that the rich would pay more incomes taxes at the lower rates he is correct.”
That is exactly what Trump has been saying all along but the Cruzbots NEVER listen to Trump, they just pounce. Cruzbots are no different than the liberals.
“The conversation thus far is how The Don is wanting to tax the rich (really the middle class), is pro abortion and is really for amnesty as he said in interviews. “
Uh, No .
Grasping at used straws is dangerous to your health.
What a conservative and non Politically Correct candidate tRump is
“Oh and left out wants to let grown men go make wee wee with little girls
What a conservative and non Politically Correct candidate tRump is “
I’VE JUST GOTTA PEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I’VE JUST GOTTA PEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Thanks, altura,
Your generalised slagging of non Cruz people is noted.
My post was not composed for people like you, the dimwitted.
According to Trump’s tax plan which hasn’t changed since he introduced it 6 months ago, you and hotair the rhino site are both full of shite. Trump’s tax plan lowers everyone’s income tax rates. He is saying and has repeatedly said the wealthy who pay no income tax because of some asinine tax loopholes need to have those loopholes removed. I agree, and you what want to give a free ride while the middle class bail the wealthiest out?
Now Cruz wants to tax us all more, a lot more with his VAT tax, that is an undefensivable position no conservative should support. But then you aren’t a conservative are you, Goldman Sachs boy!
On the subject of bathrooms, Trump probably has more practical experience with restroom issues than all of this year’s presidential candidates combined. Remember he has had hotels, casinos, etc. serving the public. He says the transgender thing has simply not been an issue. Either he is lying, or knows from managerial experience which I consider the more likely case.
I don’t ever vote for lawyers...especially Harvard educated ones. They are divorced from real society and real people.
The Rich are not going to pay higher taxes no matter how many times they claim it,it’s just fodder for the suckers, what the idiots don’t know is that the rich hide their money in tax free foundations and shell corporations in places like Maryland, just ask Hillary,so all you saps listening to the latest Pied Piper are all being played for suckers again
