GUTHRIE: Do you believe in raising taxes on the wealthy?
TRUMP: I do. I do – including myself. I do.
That was...this morning, in an interview that featured some other controversial statements. In fairness to Trump, he's been using the "raise taxes on rich people like me" line for months, embracing Obama-style class warfare tax gimmicks like the 'Buffet Rule.' But raising taxes on anyone, an outcome Trump just re-endorsed, is not what his formal policy agenda proposes. Just the opposite. As we've seen on issues such immigration, abortion and foreign policy, Trump routinely makes clear that he isn't familiar with his own positions. His stances aren't rooted in conviction, coherent ideological underpinnings or governing philosophy. They "evolve" and morph depending on how Trump is feeling in any given moment. Some professed conservatives may be perfectly comfortable voting for a tax-hiking, entitlement reform-opposing critic of Ronald Reagan's tax cuts. But many Republicans, including a 62 percent majority of GOP primary voters thus far, aren't eager to turn the keys of the party over to someone whose record and current statements build a strong case against the proposition that he's reliable conservative -- or much of a conservative at all. Parting thought: It's astonishing that this man appeals to people who loathe establishment "insider" types. Earlier in the answer above, longtime Democratic donor chuckles with multimillionaire celebrity newsman Matt Lauer about all the fancy parties they've attended together with hotshot bankers in New York. Man of the people.

So do I go by what someone else posts on a campaign website, or do I go by what Donald Trump actually says?
I am relieved that globalist Ted isn’t going to be President. The reference to Piedmont must have more towards Heidi than me....
If you told me a year ago that the founder of this website said that we should “COALESE” around you would have sent me to the nuthouse!
Sooo... calling people 14 and 15 is being a grown up.
You need to take a little time out now.
West Virginia would gladly accept “Coalesing.”
Responsibility2nd didn’t get the liberal Tribeca with Trump. AMERICA did. Don’t the Trumpsters get this? This is about our COUNTRY. I freaking hate liberals. And now it’s proven more and more Trump is liberal ALONG with his followers.
If I wanted his lamebrain policies, I’d vote for a Democrat! At least I’d know what I was getting
It’s a grownup way of describing what you, and others like you, have become.
“My family makes a lot of money, and we pay a lot of taxes. I don’t know what all these tax break are that you are talking about”
Check out tax free foundations that limousine liberals use.
And when all else fails, bring on the photoshop caricatures!

Absolutely. And then follow those up with mean, crass, hostile insults and lies. The type of which would get a Cruzer zotted if they used that accepted approach against the trumpists.
This statement is the poster child for this:
Corporations dont pay taxes.
People do. In the form of lower wages/income and higher prices.
“Trump is talking about making it flatter and fairer. It ought to beat the whatsis out of todays social engineering schemes.”
Flatter and fairer is Cruz’s flat tax.
A tax on the “rich” is not “flatter and fairer” and it’s not conservative.
Is that your dinner?
Same here. Speechless? Not yet but getting there. There seems to be no sh4t Sandwich that Mr. Trump can serve that will be turned down. I make a his pledge right here. If Cruz comes out in favor of the mentally ill using the shower and bathroom of their choice I write in Sessions.
[Trump’s tax plan has been on his site for months, for all to read]
Then Trump should read it, because he doesn’t seem to know what’s in it (and he obviously opposes it since he supports raising taxes).
Yep. Sure have. Spent hours there. Probably a 100 + posts.
Why? Were you there?
I think somebody dropped one of Mr. Trump’s “nothing burgers”.
There are also conservative sites and conservative facebook pages and groups that have now banned any links to FR articles because they only allow credible sources (kind of how FR used to only allow credible articles). It really shocked me and pained me to see.
“The deception is to pretend that Trump never stood for this and to try and spin this as if it is Trump flip flopping.”
The deception is on the Trumpbots. I’ve been screaming about this for months.
Are any of you listening?
Do you care about ANYTHING conservative?
