Governor Pence was pleased to welcome Mr. Trump back to Indiana and hear firsthand his plans for the country. The Governor was also grateful for the opportunity to describe Indiana's economic success and expressed his desire to have a partner in the White House who will help advance pro-growth economic policies, reduce burdensome regulation and curb the size and scope of government. With more than 130,000 new private sector jobs created since he took office, Governor Pence believes addressing these issues is critical in order for Indiana to continue to be a great place to live, work and raise a family.

THIS is the issue that will carry Trump into the White House.
That’s his Luca Brasi :)
I applied but was turned down :)
I agree it’s an important issue, but trade barriers are not the solution.
Jobs are fleeing the USA because of high taxes and regulations that make it unprofitable to do things in the USA.
Rein in the EPA, OSHA, Obamacare, EEOC, and taxes and jobs not only stay, they come flooding back.
Here in Indiana, it is expected that Pence has been a Cruz guy. Pence is a REAL conservative. He's done very well for Hoosiers. He dabbled in consideration for a Presidential run at one time.
By the way, his wife is one of the bound IN delegates. They can go personal choice if it goes to 2nd ballot.
Having Mike Pence on his side is another mortal wound to the #NEVERTRUMP and Cruzanadian crowd!
Carrier made the decision to leave Indianapolis for Mexico when the United Steel Workers went on strike. I’ve read that Carrier’s labor costs will go from $30/hr down to $3/hr.
Not sure how Trump fixes that.
Chris Christie would make a great Luca Brasi. He fits the part. Either Pence endorses Trump or Christie will line up a horse’s head in Pence’s bed.
Not sure how Trump fixes that.

Bust the union!
I expect Trump to start picking up Governor, Senate and House member endorsements. Telegraphing their desire for Cruz to drop out.
A Pence endorsement would finish Cruz off. Final nail!
lol!!
That’s two Italians Trump has on his side now, Giuliani and Christie. :)
With Trump at the Bully Pulpit, companies will be terrified to move a plant offshore, unless the economic argument is extremely overwhelming.

Using the power of magical thinking.
If we had lower taxes and the union contract was renegotiated at $20/hr and the cost to the employee was made up partly by the lower taxes...then Carrier might decide that the difference of $20/hr to $3/hr isn’t worth the move to Mexico....especially if there’s added tax to bring the products to the USA.
Just a thought.
It’s not a trade barrier. It’s a legitimate negotiation. Does a foreign country have the right to support industry, dump the goods here at an unsustainable price, drive our companies out of business, and then drain our nations resources for years?
air conditions the guard huts along the new wall. makes mexico pay for the u.s. built a/c units as well.
Pence is Tea Party and a patriot. He is not establishment in any way.
Pence is a Cruz guy? Link please.
