Transgender people should be able to use whatever bathroom they want, Donald Trump said Thursday.
"Oh, I had a feeling that question was going to come up, I will tell you. North Carolina did something that was very strong. And they're paying a big price. There's a lot of problems," the Republican presidential candidate said during a town hall event on NBC's "Today."
Referring to comments from an unnamed commentator who on Wednesday said North Carolina should "leave it the way it is right now," Trump said he agreed.
"Leave it the way it is. North Carolina, what they're going through with all the business that's leaving, all of the strife -- and this is on both sides. Leave it the way it is," he said, referring to companies that have canceled plans to move or expand businesses in the state as a result of the law, which bans transgender individuals from using a bathroom that does not match their gender at birth.
"There have been very few complaints the way it is. People go. They use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate," Trump said. "There has been so little trouble. And the problem with what happened in North Carolina is the strife and the economic -- I mean, the economic punishment that they're taking."
Matt Lauer then asked whether Trump has any transgender people working for his company.
"I really don't know. I probably do. I really don't know," Trump said, answering that he would allow, say, transgender celebrity Caitlyn Jenner to use whatever bathroom she wanted at Trump Tower.

If a transgender man (whatever the hell that is) is allowed to use a woman's bathroom, then why not a woman's locker room? And then why not a woman's shower room?
Because, mark my words, if the first situation is allowed then eventually all three will be allowed.
Trump missed a great opportunity here to push back against PC craziness.

The reason we in NC passed the law was because its is not up to the sicko to decide but rather its up to the vast majority to decide they do not want to pander to the sicko.

Should some trans female come flouncing into the men’s room, less likely than the other way around, I fully intend to escort them right the heck back out. I would hope women would choose to do the same.

Trump needs to get proper counsel in order to properly deflect and keep focus on the big issues: illegal immigration, trade, national security, Islamic terrorism, jobs, etc.
As the Dems figure out how much trouble they’re in with Hillary as their standard bearer, these kind of antics will amp up.

I just read the transcript, he specifically said the rich. Part of his platform is to get rid of the carried interest provision. I support that because I don’t think wall street guys should get a special break on their taxes that the rest of us don’t get, just because they’ve bribed the politicians to give them one.

Just ‘cause you say you’re one, doesn’t make you one. Bathrooms are provided to accommodate a biological function, and are ergonomically designed for the biological parts of the user. This isn’t discrimination, it’s function. Frankly, any hetero is going to be “uncomfortable” with a transgender/cross-dresser using the adjacent urinal, but you don’t hear their complaints.

Trump is more in line with Justice Anthony Kennedy. That’s the type of judges he will nominate.
