WASHINGTON (AP) The Latest on campaign 2016 (all times Eastern):

Donald Trump says he believes transgender people should be able to use whichever bathroom they choose.
Speaking at a town hall event on NBC's "Today" Thursday, Trump said North Carolina's so-called "bathroom law," which directs transgender people to use the bathroom that matches the gender on their birth certificates, has caused unnecessary strife.

If it is perfectly legal for a big burly guy to enter a ladies bathroom, or locker room for that matter, and hangout (literally) what will stop dangerous perverts from doing so? That's right, most laws are designed to serve as deterrents. Laws are not written with the idea that LE will be there to prevent every crime. Unlike yourself, I think laws should be written to protect the most vulnerable of our society like the pre-born and girls, young or otherwise, who want to use the bathroom without some perverted man staring at them, or worse.
How that logic escapes you is mind-boggling.
A law that prevents at least that, even if it is not a foolproof detection device for all actual trannies, is still a heck of a lot better than no law at all.
Bottom line -- do you support the law North Carolina passed, or not, and would you support a similar law in your state?
Except if Cruz had said this you would be all over it like white on rice. These people belong in mental institutions, not in the bathroom with my little granddaughters
LOL!
Happy marriages have always been legal. Sodomite “marriage” is neither marriage nor is it legal. The Extreme Court’s opinions are not law, no matter what current wisdumb in DC says.
I am quite familiar with the concepts that are sometimes called the “seven mountain mandate”.
Do you ever pray the LORD’s prayer?
Within the media “sphere of influence”, would you rather get your news from Free Republic, or Huffington Post?
Would you rather have NFL quarterbacks whose personal lives resembled Tim Tebow, or would your prefer Johnny Manziel be the role model?
Please help me understand what part of expressing and applying the teachings of Jesus CHRIST in our daily walk is not Christian.
But the law is necessary to prevent "real" men from entering those facilities with an intention other than simply using the restroom and then leaving immediately. And it gives a cause of action/grounds for arrest for a man or tranny who stares at other women and makes them uncomfortable.
Dream on, dream on.....
It’s the SOP of attacking Cruz from the left. Been going on from the get go. It’s totally divorced from anything even vaguely resembling conservatism.
Simple: Divide the number of Delegates against the number of VOTES. Trump would be even more ahead.
“I see. You refuse to stand for decency. J”
No. You refuse to THINK, and that is why we already lost the issue days ago.
Instead of playing the issue smart and making sure the law targets these perv dudes, we left ourselves open to being the “bad guys” targeting the hot victim group of the month with a media machine at it’s beck and call.
Instead of the issue being the dude in a dress, with a beard...or not even anyone that went that far, that goes into the women’s restroom to molest women, the left paraded out teenagers that aren’t distinguishable as their real genders, and would never be stopped with a law in place as being the targets of “mean old nasty” Christian right wingers, and how that North Carolina law was pure evil.
And guess what, genius?
Oh you dont have to guess, because you know NC FOLDED in less than a week.
But you just sit there shaking your fist at the PC screen and act all slighted, and that you just have no idea how this issue got away from us.
It’s not just bathrooms, it’s dressing rooms showers, etc.
And the other problem is that a transgender can be anyone who claims temporary state of mind that cannot be independently verified.
The other problem is that everyone is forced under threat of law to accept this type of delusion or fraud.
Civil right is now encompassing legal protection and forced embracing of the delusional.
>> Its totally divorced from anything even vaguely resembling conservatism.
Yes. Unfortunate that it’s getting legs here.
I need to go back to work on my mandate to “dominate” that Mountain of Code. I think it’s Mountain #5. :-)
Blessings
Look Don-O, I have no problem with that.
Here we are on a thread discussing the fact Trump said, “Leave it as it is.” That is exactly what Congress has done, yet it gets no criticism, and Cruz gets no criticism for leaving it precisely as it is.
There is a disconnect going on here. I don’t agree with Trump’s statement on this, but I’ll be darned if I agree with everyone elses avoidance of doing something about this.
Cruz was in a position of power. What did he do?
N O T H I N G !
As a non-Christian, I see Christianity from the outside, if Cruz is a good example of Christianity, than I’d rather be Hindu.
LOL, then thank you Bruce. You’re the first one to admit this statement of Trump’s means nothing.
It’s a states rights issue.
Nice talkin to ya.
