GROWLER LAUNCHING

The Vinson and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing 17, are deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. The Growler is assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron 139.

TANK TRAFFIC

EAGLE AIM

EVACUATION TRAINING

CONSTITUTION DOCKED

The USS Constitution enters dry dock in Charlestown Navy Yard, Charlestown, MA, May 18, 2015, to begin several years of restoration. This is Constitution's first time in dry dock since its 1992-1996 restoration.


PLANE GUARD OPERATIONS

An MH-60S Knighthawk performs plane guard operations near the USS John C. Stennis in the Pacific Ocean, May 1, 2015. The Knighthawk is assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 14.

I think they do it deliberately. They always make comments on how bleary-eyed I am when I drag in. LOL!
Lunch time just works out better for the rest of them so I make do. Thankfully, we only meet once a month. Whew!

Bad coffee makes ANY day crummy!

It didn’t seem too cold up there this afternoon when I checked in on the Ithaca hawks. Not as hot as down here but it wasn’t frigid. Still, some 70+ degree days up there would be mighty welcome, I reckon!

Have the Sapsucker Pond cam up and it did get right chilly up there tonight. brrrrr!!!
But oooooh, those peepers are singing and they sound soooooo nice. Just love the sound.

COOL!!!!!! There are links to other bird cams at the top. It’s still daylight in Hawaii and the albatross cam is zoomed in on one of the young ‘uns. They are so funny looking.

And the hawks are on the Cornell campus. Their first lil one just hatched today, with another probably hatching tomorrow.

The owl cam is the one we’ve been watching and posting pix from the past few months.
