Donald Trump's Staten Island supporters were confident the brash businessman would win in the borough, but even his most staunch allies were pleasantly surprised that the GOP front-runner on Tuesday took the Island with 82 percent of the vote, setting a record for the highest margin of victory for the candidate so far in the national race.
(SNIP)
On Staten Island, he got 73 percent in the North Shore's 61st Assembly district represented by Assemblyman Matthew Titone; 85 percent in the South Shore's 62nd district, that Ron Castorina Jr. was just elected to; 80 percent in the mid-Island's 63rd district represented by Assemblyman Michael Cusick; and 82 percent in the East Shore's 64th district, represented by Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis.

Amazing numbers.
Especially considering that 2 of the 4 districts elected democrats to the State Assembly.
61st District Assemblyman Matthew Titone (Democrat) 73% for Trump
62nd District Assemblyman Ron Castorina Jr. (Republican) 85% for Trump
63rd District Assemblyman Michael Cusick (Democrat) 80% for Trump
64th District Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (Republican) 82% for Trump

I’m pretty sure that’s just 82% of the GOP vote. (Still very impressive.)

I said yesterday on another thread that SI would be the epicenter of Trump support.
To: 9YearLurker
Yup.
Hillary had 1,000,000 votes
Bernie had 700,000 votes
Each of them alone easily beat Trump
Nobody else even factored in.

Of course, they won’t hand out separate ballots for Dems during the general, will they?
