TRUMP TRIES OUT FOR NEW ROLE: PRESUMPTIVE NOMINEE
The Republican nominating process has evolved for a moment just such as this: helping a damaged frontrunner stave off a challenge from a conservative insurgent and avoiding the threat of a chaotic convention.
What nobody knew was that the frontrunner this year would be Donald Trump.
And as Trump showed both in his remarks after his resounding victory in his home state and the promise of big money for the Republican consultant class, he is willing to try to play the part that was written for another player: Mr. Inevitability.

Hopefully you go limit on them.
Have a good one.
Sarcasm?
Trump supporters would be well advised to follow Trump's lead in acting as the presumptive nominee. It's mid-April, more than six months from the election. Plenty of time to heal the wounds.
I think Cruz will be out of it or completely marginalised by CA. He lost it with Hannity yesterday. He’s telling Trump supporters to put Hillary stickers on their cars. That’s the signs of unravelling.
Well we definitely know who Neil Bush, Jeff Poe and all the Bush staff are working for. Does that ring any alarm bells? LOL!
Nice post.
However, I disagree.
I still don’t think that Trump can attain the necessary votes to win on the first vote.
I still think Ted Cruz will win on a second ballot.
My loyalty is the the USA.
I sincerely do not think there is a chance of Trump beating Hillary.
I think Ted Cruz can. I think a Trump nomination would harm the country. He is wildly unpopular in fly-by country.
The only reason we would be divided after Ted Cruz gets the nomination is if trumpers sull up and refuse to vote.
Most Cruz supporters have stuck with their pledge to vote for the nominee.
Most Trump supporters refuse to do so. That tells me something about their loyalty...it’s to Trump and not the country.

After having the deligates they voted for stolen? Pretty much. People don’t reward thievery, and please don’t debate the issue, that’s just how they are going to see it. No amount of argument will change that.
Cruz on the other hand lost fair and square with the voters. If he can’t win with the GOP base how is he going to win in the GE?
Good points.
Thanks for your comments.
It’s kind of funny how some folks see that poll.
It’s almost as if I accidentally uncovered a group phobia about voting.
LOL
And I called it a caucus. You’d think that would have eased their minds.
Isn’t he all in for Hildebeast?
Not so nice post.
“Easy peasy.”
OK, tucked away for this summer ;)
Riding a wave for now. Could maintain itself or build, or could wane. June 7th far off in political terms. We’ll see. I do know my CA primary vote is *not* going for Trump, however, if he’s the nominee, I’ll vote for him in November. Another corrupt Communist in the WH is unacceptable.
Of course, I'd vote for Cruz...
Same thing happened w/Romney. Romney & Trump both pro-abortion to a degree. Both favored universal healthcare. Both involved with hotel porn (Trump hotel; Romney board member of Marriott for yrs & yrs) Both wishy-washy on key issues (Romney was for fetal tissue research before he was against it before he was for it; Trump all over the map on GLBT issues & now wants men & girls to share bathrooms)... etc. etc...
In 2012, LOTS of similar statements made on FR w/no slapdown from JR...After all, if the GoP simply stands for POTUS candidates like Romney & Trump well to the left of Jack Kennedy, why bother pretending conservativism is an option anymore in presidential politics?
Seek help.
