Harriet Tubman is going to replace former President Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill, according to a report.
Treasury Secretary Jack Lew is expected to make the announcement on Wednesday, according to Politico.
Sources told the site that he has also decided to keep Alexander Hamilton on the front of the $10 bill.

“Anyway, I’ve read elsewhere that the change won’t occur until 2030. By then a $20 bill will probably buy you a cup of coffee.”
You should change your handle to Incurable Optimist.

“Hopefully the next president will put Ronald Reagan on the $20 bill.”
Not a chance in hell in our lifetime, and my grandchildren’s children's lifetime for that matter, that an African American Woman will be removed from the $20 bill. The men on the other currencies will be replaced before this woman is....

Indeed there will as they are not better than the liberals they are supposed to be against or they are just trolls.

I think it was the TV show ‘Fringe’ that in the alternate universe had Martin Luther King Jr on the $20 bill.

It’s nothing against Tubman. But it’s simply the administration playing racial politics and causing a backlash, so they’ll have the excuse to eliminate cash. Tubman would have been a good choice for the $1 coin.

Well maybe my bank is unique. But I can get a 5 spot from their ATM. Not unique, but rare. I used to get "integer multiple of $20 plus $15" from my credit union ATMs. That would get me three fins and the rest in Twenties. They don't do that any more.

Try to get anything other than a Twenty from an ATM The ATM for my bank around the corner here gives out $50s and $20s, depending on how much you ask for.
It sucks because so few places will take a $50. The McDonalds next door won't, unless it comes out to less than $20 in change.

“Who the hell is Harriet Tubman?” will be frequently heard if she is put on the bill.

I don't want that fugly mug on my bills! I don't care if it's a she or black or whatever, the LAST semblance of America left is our currency and 'they' want to change THAT too. They switched from the $10 to the $20 because it's more IN OUR FACE at ATMs and such.
I'm going to get tired scribbling out Tubman's fugly mug with a big fat marker!

They should put Obama on the million dollar bill, because with his horrible economy and raising minimum wages that will be the cost of chicken McNuggets for his constituency.

He was a Canadian. Perhaps you can get him on the Twoonie, eh?
To: dfwgator
Once that becomes widely known, Tubman will become persona non grata. Susan B. Anthony is already there because she was strongly pro-life.
Trivia question for today: When was she last featured on even a postage stamp?
Hint: Here is the stamp:

They had to keep him off of the reissue of the vintage set (which we have), probably because his name and likeness have restrictions on their use. At least G.I. Luvmoney and Hesperia Mint are still with us.
