Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz is mathematically eliminated from winning the GOP nomination on the first ballot, according to the Associated Press.
GOP front-runner Donald Trump is now the only Republican candidate who can clinch the nomination before the GOP convention in July, as there arent enough remaining delegates for either Cruz or John Kasich to reach the 1,237 threshold.

” I wonder why no one has declared Kasich eliminated and called for him to drop out?”
This may not be true but someone posted that under Ohio law if Kasich drops out the his delegates will automatically fall to the 2nd place finisher in the Ohio primary - Donald Trump.
Unlike Ted Cruz Kasich also appears to be running for VP

Ted, I am still a fan but it is time to concede. To do otherwise and remain the tool of a corrupt party leadership will kill your political career. Your choice now is between public service or sleazy back room operator.

Trump did what was expected from a home-state candidate.
Getting closer, only 392 of 734 to close the deal.
Trump's to lose.

So, of course, the tRUMPers will say Cruz should quit.
Just like Lincoln quit in 1860. Oh, wait... He didn’t.

Ted Cruz embarrassingly loses to a candidate that was not even running
The Hill reported: Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz was handed a stinging loss in the New York primary Tuesday, getting shut out of delegates by Donald Trump and John Kasich.
And in at least one congressional district, the Texas senator lost to someone who has long since dropped out of the race: Ben Carson.
In Westchester Countys 16th Congressional District, Cruz came in fourth place, behind Carson by 296 votes.

Maybe maybe not. If there is no 2nd round that means trump worked the delegates to vote for him...same thing he's crying about Cruz doing.
