At least I got it right in the title...
Americans know Cruz is out of it.
Everyday he continues to run, more Americans will turn on him.
So, what is your thinking. I mean the democrats out number us like crazy there. Still, Trump hasn’t begun. Plus, these idiots are going to campaign against him until Cleveland? I mean why not unite behind the guy NOW.. everyone. This is maddening.
That’s amazing
Let me check...
You’re right. I’ll see if the moderator will change it for us.
I’m so excited.
Just got tickets for Friday’s event in Delaware.
It’s a 2 hour drive down, but what the heck, it will be worth it!
I don’t know how I’m going to get any sleep the next two nights :)
Good morning. Thanks for the new thread.
Keep in touch. Maybe we can wave at each other! Do you post on FR with your phone.
Last time we went to INDY when bush was running we left house at 4:00 am and still didn’t get in! Four bus loads from southern Indiana and not one got in.
Cruz is definitely eliminated from first ballot. Needs 101% of remaining delegates! It’s over for Cruz.
It’s an unrealistic pipe dream that Cruz will somehow win a second ballot vote, even if it happened.
Worse case scenario, Trump has 1100 delegates going into the convention. And that’s only if he tanks badly in a lot of the upcoming contests. That will mean that Cruz will be around 850, with Rubio and Kasich splitting most of the remaining 400. About 150 more will be unbound.
In that situation, Trump will easily be able to secure victory on first ballot by making some deals and he’ll be in position of strength to do so.
But that’s worst case! Far more likely, Trump will have 1200-1300 delegates and he’ll punch his own ticket.
Cruz took a major blow last night. 15% is a disastrous performance and indicates he cannot be a national candidate. He may do even worse next week. He should make a deal with Trump now before his bargaining position is made even weaker by upcoming events.
Trump would be stupid to make a deal
I don't think Trump is interested in any deal with Cruz. Cruz's bargaining position is already toast, mostly due to his conduct, but also due to his performance and lack of general-election popularity.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders on CNN. Moderator says Trump was not expected to perform this well, Sanders agrees, and says that momentum is in Trump's favor. GOP turnout up 33%, DEM turnout flat. Huge deal for the general, seen though the raw number has DEM's outnumbering GOP. Sanders says that as Trump is viewed as the presumptive nominee, Trump will transition to a less confrontational persona, attention on Hillary. Probably not the last time we have heard "Lyin' Ted," somewhat depends on Cruz's reaction and statements.
It might be wise for Trump to utterly ignore Cruz going forward. Make reference only to Shrillary as his opponent.
YAYHAY!
Berlin Merryland, right down the street from me!
Niece got tickets!
I AM PSYCHED!
Makes no sense for Cruz to stay in, but I think he’ll make some offer, like VP. Trump should tell him to take a hike. Trump can get his numbers without Cruz. He get them from Rubio or Kasich.
Good morning, Nikos!
A little bleary eyed this morning. Have to send the tux to the cleaners—celebrated a little too much last night and into this morning.
Berlin, MD is about an hour from me—have been there a few times.
It is a very picturesque town. Only about 4500 people. Has a quaint downtown of mostly brick building—lots of antique stores—inland from Ocean City, MD.
It has been the scene of two movies:
For Runaway Bride (1999), starring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts, Berlin’s Main Street and some of the outlying areas were altered to become the fictitious town of Hale, Maryland.
For Tuck Everlasting (2002), starring Sissy Spacek, Ben Kingsley, and William Hurt, alteration of the streets and sidewalks transformed Berlin into the fictitious town of Treegap.
Berlin was the home of the great racehorse Man o’ War (1917- 1947) He trained at Glen Riddle Farm. Owned by Samuel D. Riddle.
Are you going to the rally?
No, but I am thinking of going to the one in Harrington,DE in Friday.
I don’t do crowds, but I love Trump.
