I don't think Trump is interested in any deal with Cruz. Cruz's bargaining position is already toast, mostly due to his conduct, but also due to his performance and lack of general-election popularity.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders on CNN. Moderator says Trump was not expected to perform this well, Sanders agrees, and says that momentum is in Trump's favor. GOP turnout up 33%, DEM turnout flat. Huge deal for the general, seen though the raw number has DEM's outnumbering GOP. Sanders says that as Trump is viewed as the presumptive nominee, Trump will transition to a less confrontational persona, attention on Hillary. Probably not the last time we have heard "Lyin' Ted," somewhat depends on Cruz's reaction and statements.
It might be wise for Trump to utterly ignore Cruz going forward. Make reference only to Shrillary as his opponent.
Makes no sense for Cruz to stay in, but I think he’ll make some offer, like VP. Trump should tell him to take a hike. Trump can get his numbers without Cruz. He get them from Rubio or Kasich.
“Cruz’s bargaining position is already toast, mostly due to his conduct, but also due to his performance and lack of general-election popularity.”
I agree with your assessment.
