Continuing to Stand for Inclusivity
Recent debate around proposed laws in several states has reignited a national conversation around inclusivity. So earlier this week, we reiterated with our team members where Target stands and how our beliefs are brought to life in how we serve our guests.
Inclusivity is a core belief at Target. Its something we celebrate. We stand for equality and equity, and strive to make our guests and team members feel accepted, respected and welcomed in our stores and workplaces every day.
We believe that everyoneevery team member, every guest, and every communitydeserves to be protected from discrimination, and treated equally. Consistent with this belief, Target supports the federal Equality Act, which provides protections to LGBT individuals, and opposes action that enables discrimination.
In our stores, we demonstrate our commitment to an inclusive experience in many ways. Most relevant for the conversations currently underway, we welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity.
We regularly assess issues and consider many factors such as impact to our business, guests and team members. Given the specific questions these legislative proposals raised about how we manage our fitting rooms and restrooms, we felt it was important to state our position.
Everyone deserves to feel like they belong. And youll always be accepted, respected and welcomed at Target.
They stand for faggotry ... and my money will go elsewhere.
When a child or women gets rsped in one of their restrooms they will need to pay big $$
Where’s any churches resisting thos?
Here’s to their first multi-million dollar lawsuit regarding this idiotic policy.

Comments are welcome there.
Transgenderism is a mental illness. If I tell Tarrget I’m Napolean, will they give me a throne? Fascilitating mental illness doesn’t help anyone.
One point people keep missing:
There’s no requirement to “wear a dress” or “dress like a woman” for a penis-endowed person to use the women’s room.
“None of your business” is all it takes for anyone of any persuasion to enter.
I’m debating the merits of just going in, using the facilities, and flatly & loudly stating Target’s policy. Maybe I’ll just print it out and stick copies, duly highlighted, under hundreds of customers’ car wipers.
I think feminism has caused this whole Transgender movement. These male Transgenders are so ashamed of being male due to feminists attacking maleness, it’s as if they can’t emotionally stand being male.
Boy, I hope they enjoy the profits from .001 of the population suddenly all shopping at Target.
Target is walking distance for me and no longer a place I’ll shop at.
It is not just the restroom, as bad as that is! It is the DRESSING ROOMS as well FGS!
Great news, the women at Target are much better looking than at other stores. Target tends to attract a much more well heeled clientele than walmart.
I hope this really works out well for Target. They are sure to attract that one tenth of one percent that are transvestites. Good marketing strategy.
Where does a company like Target find such brilliant people?
I guess I’d better be using the bathroom at home before shopping at Target...if I shopped at Target, that is.
“... treated equally ...”
You aren’t treating women equally when you let biological men use the ladies room.
This decision comes from the extremely liberal Minnesota.
Another reason not to shop at Target.
I’m fine with this. I’m not fine with just any man in the ladies room. But a poor person struggling with gender dysphoria, who has been told that maybe trying to live as a woman would help, should use the restroom where they feel the most comfortable.
We need to understand that it isn’t fun to feel you are one gender when you are the other. Nor is it their fault. The transitioning — acting like the other gender -— is the ONLY thing the medical community is offering. It only helps 50% of the time OR LESS but some think that is enough reason to give it a try. Most people blindly do whatever a doctor says. Please forgive these terribly ill people for trying what some idiot doctor says.
The truly affected will not use the restroom to rape and assault. There are so few of them that your chance of peeing alongside someone with different parts is minuscule.
What we need to fight is the “anything goes” laws where full on men can use ladies’ rooms. That is far worse and affects every woman from the helpless four year olds to the helpless 90 year olds. We need to protect our sisters, daughters, and grandmothers.
I align with dogs ... I’m gonn’a pee on the floor
I cut down on my shopping at Target when they banned the Salvation Army at Christmas time. Stoopid, Stoopid people at the executive suite there.
So a rotund and hairy man such as myself can go in, singing “I Enjoy Being a Girl,” and try on bikinis in the former ladies’ changing rooms, and no one at Target is going to say or do squat.
Im sure they will have no problem if I align my identity with a target employee and use the employee restrooms...
It’s over for me and Target.
They have been on my bad list for a few years now anyway. Was looking for a religious anniversary card and they had none, but had homosexual anniversary cards right down where children could see them.
But with this they signed their own JC Penny’s styled death warrant, in a business sense of course.
I’d like to see a counterstrike in which everyone else declares Target to be an LBGT store for LGBTs only, and Target tanks completely. If they think there is such a boost to thier business by catering to this tiny section of the population at the expense of everyone else, let them prove it - without our business.
