Sounds delish!!
The owl nest is empty. It looks so forlorn! Maybe they’ll be back for a snack? I don’t know what comes next for them!
I’m back. Had to make a run to Wal Mart for dry food for the kittehs.
One owlet is back at the nest now. Probably Windy. Stormy stays off the nest for longer periods.
They’ll soon stop going to the nest and Mom will feed them in the trees until they learn to hunt for themselves. They’ll stay in that general area and birders who live around there will take pix when they can spot them in the trees.
Last year, a pair of ospreys checked out the nest once the owls moved out but they didn’t stick around. Maybe another pair will check it out this year and raise their family on the nest.

for today's activities.
YOU ARE A FRIED SHRIMP DINNER
You have crinkle-cut fries yet no dessert,
as if to proclaim, "I'm an adult now but who says
I can't have a little fun in my life?"
You are coastal, comforting, and a little bold.
Why not dip a french fry in the cocktail sauce? It's right there.
Ok, shrimp TV dinner sounds good.
However, unlike some, I don't like cocktail sauce,
so I'd probably use Frank's Sweet Chili sauce;
nothing on the fries or maybe mustard.
Well, it decided to get really hot in the same week
as we are having a heat pump installed.
We needed a new a/c unit and so we upgraded
to add a heat pump system with our oil backup.
The crew will be showing up soon to begin the work,
which, thankfully, we're cooler this morning.
Since I won't be able to do much in the house while they work,
I may find myself at the Canteen most of the day ;)
For now, I need to get a couple of things done before they show up.
I'll be back.

And I see you are trying your hand at cooking something besides TV dinners :)
My version of Deviled eggs is easy: mustard and mayo.

We are, which the HVAC crew in the attic is grateful for. I can't wait until the job is done and we get to see how much better the new system is than the old (no clue how old but over 10 years for sure) and the energy savings. Have a happy Wednesday.

Haven’t had much time to say hello and read posts, so I’m asking: you are safe from the flooding, right?
We are very safe from the flooding! Houston is about 500 miles from us.
I just wish we’d get some rain! It is cloudy but then nothing happens! Darn it!
Just finished doing the grass cutting for this week. Yard looks much better. We’ve had several inches of rain the past several days.
So you're getting a new heat pump before the real hot weather comes our way, good move, I'm sure it'll be worth it.
As far as a job goes, I only turned in a job application, nothing firm yet.
Our weather has been lovely and it's suppose to hit 90 today, phew!

Glad to hear you are safe. Would be nice if some engineer figured out a way to funnel flooding to dry areas.
I think we are in a dry spell for the week.
90? I thought you lived in the Northwest where temps are cooler than us???
I’m sure the new heat pump will be worth it (cha-ching, though) because I’m sure the old a/c unit we are replacing wasn’t that efficient.
