Also, bigotry and misogyny are no longer widespread problems, in the right’s telling—and to the extent that they still exist, they are no more prevalent on the right than on the left.
In their efforts to stop Trump, conservatives have sidelined these and other premises about American political culture, so that the generic liberal critique of conservatism might be deployed against him and him alone.

I remember reading about this but now I’m reminded why it was far down the list of non-important issues with Trump.
There are far more issues at stake like preserving our Constitution and freedom & liberty but jwalsh07 thinks this is funny.
We can’t help it if jwalsh07 has sided with the Cruz campaign that has now aligned itself with the anti-liberty and anti-freedom side of the spectrum. I don’t find that funny at all with Cruz’s decision to align with them and try to win this thing at all costs. There is nothing conservative about that.

You can’t conserve the Constitution with a guy that does not support property rights. You are of course familiar with the “Takings Clause” of the Fifth Amendment, no?
I mean you can vote for whoever you please but try to do it with your eyes open. Trump is a moderate Democrat at best, not a conservative.
