A Donald Trump-Sen. Ted Cruz unity ticket seems less likely now that Cruz told the Good Morning America audience on Monday that he has zero interest, whatsoever in being Trumps pick for vice-president.
Bonnie Pointer, who was described as an undecided voter from Vacaville, California, asked Cruz via video, Would you accept being Donald Trumps Vice President?
Cruz thanked Bonnie for her question saying, Let me just answer very simply, I have zero interest, whatsoever, in doing it.

People are out for themselves. Teamsters in NY don’t have some Kumbaya moment over a hotel staff in LV.
Like I said, keep telling yourself that.
And what exactly are you telling yourself?
You have proven yourself an unreliable and unloyal self-serving political hack. We would be constantly looking over our shoulder, and wondering if you were off making advances at the help. Thanks, but no thanks.
I disagree. Donald Trump is nobody’s VP...ever. Trump is Alpha male to the core.
I think you answered your own question.
If cruz is a globalist, why is Jose Medellin dead?
President Bush and the Global elite said international law takes precedent over texas law that convicted Medellin of murder?
Cruz defeated the globalists at the Supreme Court?
Trump says he employs foreign labor at his businesses in order to make more profit for himself.
You and the trump supporters need to stop smearing a good man and start making arguments for your candidate.
Trump has been a New York liberal most of his life.
If he is a conservative— which I am unconvinced about— great— but there is no way Cruz is a five year old or less conservative than Rubio. Cruz said don’t do Libya. Who was right about that? Rubio has nothing special on foreign policy.
Say no more.
I find trump supporters can only take the truth in small doses.
That’s my concern. It would give him the clear inside track on the next open presidential run on the republican side, and to turn it down would be a childish decision.
Actually, we handle the truth quite well, but we don’t like lies or liars, while Cruz supporters seem to have little problem with either.
Pretty much ends the debate.
Of course, they let Obama get away with it. But they (uniparty) will never let Cruz get away with it. Records will be mysteriously unsealed ...(think Illinois Senate run by Obama).
Trump supporters, in my opinion, are the only ones who truly meant it when they said they opposed the establishment and all the harm it has done to conservatives over the years.
Everyone else has forgotten already why they were fired up in the first place.
>> But they (uniparty) will never let Cruz get away with it. Records will be mysteriously unsealed ...(think Illinois Senate run by Obama).
So I’ve heard! I think I’ll wait for actual events to unfold.
>> Pretty much ends the debate.
Well, no, not really. Facts can and sometimes do end debate; mere conjecture or wishful thinking generally fuels debate.
>> Who the (expletive deleted) asked you? &etc
Was that aimed at OP markomalley, or author Michelle Moons?
Just curious.
I think Trump and his supporters have been very clear.
Ted Cruz is public enemy #1— not Bernie Sanders, not Hillary Clinton, not President Obama, not any liberal in Congress.
We totally get it.
That was the mistake he made from the beginning and refuses to give up on.
I don’t agree.
Excellent! He is actually needed to continue the fight in the senate and try to restore the balance of power as established in the constitution.
One Term Senator: Ted Cruz
Good to hear!
An Alpha Male as VP would be a good thing. Just look at Joe Biden, Al Gore, Dan Quayle, George H. W. Bush, Walter Mondale . . .
Never mind. I meant the VP has responsibilities where an Alpha Male would be helpful. As President of the Senate, the vice president has two primary duties: to cast a vote in the event of a Senate deadlock and to preside over and certify the official vote count of the U.S. Electoral College. Trump could . . .
Never mind. Having VP Trump to help run day to day operations would be a very good thing for "President" Cruz (this is a hypothetical, of course). I like the positions Cruz has taken on the vast majority of issues, and I like around 99% of his voting record. However, Cruz has no executive experience. An experienced, responsible, and forceful executive such as Vice President Trump could have a lot of power in a Cruz White House, and that would be good for America, which I hope is what matters to Trump.
Okay, that last one is serious and true. I would hope that even if he doesn't get the nomination, Trump would be offered or request the VP position. He would be great at it. [I would rather see President Trump, with Cruz as his VP or first of many nominees for SCOTUS, but as a hypothetical, VP Trump is not a bad idea.]
