Being from NY, I have never seen a post singing the praises of NY on FR. Seen plenty of hate though.
It is not the people I necessarily hated when I lived there. I just didn’t like the the physical city.

Incredible buildings, theater, museums, financial center, etc.
But nothing to like, I guess :)
Also one of the few states that gives the fed more than it gets.
Last i checked, that’s was a Conservative value, not taking from the fed.
Upstate is very nice!
