Trump: If I win, I might oust RNC chairman
CNN ^ | April 18, 2016 | Daniella Diaz

Posted on 04/18/2016 9:49:11 AM PDT by McGruff

If Donald Trump clinches the 1,237 delegates required to win the Republican nomination, he said he's not sure he'll keep Reince Priebus as chairman of the Republican National Committee.

"I don't know. I haven't made the determination," the Republican front-runner told The Washington Post in an interview posted Sunday.

The comments come as Trump spent the last few days attacking the Republican Party's nominating rules -- calling the process "rigged" against him -- which has caused top members to fight before their meeting in Florida later this week.

Right. so why antagonize the chair, if you have NO power over it anyway.

Maybe the RNC helps trump 70% and then provides the rest of the support to senate/house.

Then Trump just whines about that too when he loses in the fall.

Historically, a POTUS has always called the shots of his party.

Historically a president hasn't had all of his party's establishment against him.

Typically the President always becomes the head of his political party. If he doesn’t then that political party has serious divisions.

You mean kind of like now?

If Trump wins the election Rinse is toast.

If Trump wins the GOP establishment might keep Priebus around simply because Trump doesn't want him.

?

Trump negatives are through the roof with women. like 70 - 75 %.

Not rooting for Trump’s considerable love life. More rooting for a Reagan/Coolidge/Eisenhower figure.

Trump knows it’s not rigged against him

800 voters in Wyoming, 3000+ in Colorado, all of whom had to pay fees, jump through hoops, go to meetings, hob nob with banksters and Goldman Sachs employees posing as Cruz supporters. Cruz winning all the delegates in districts in other states where he didn't even get any votes. Yes, it's rigged.

It is rigged against Trump in the sense that he has not felatioed his way through the ranks of the GOPe. The GOP like all associations created by man tend to have their own rules and culture. Trump is right in that they took his contributions, they let him run as a Republican, and as part of that deal they should not be trying to use their hidden levers of power to trip him up.

The GOP leadership has lost their minds and the their mask has slipped. Republican votes can smell, taste, and feel the disgust that the Republican leadership has for them. With the mood of Republican voters this is not the year for them to play "Establishment vs. Trump!"

“Trump knows it’s not rigged against him....his followers believe it though and that gets them riled up...which is the objective”

Deaf ears.

It’s rigged against the voters! That’s against all of us.
Every single one of us.

Trump is the only one who gives a damn to point it out.

There will always be a job on K Street for the likes of Priebus. They had Cantor signed up before he even cleaned out his desk.

I guess the GOPe would try to do that because, since they are duplicitous wanks with no sense of shame, it would be ludicrous to expect different behavior. However the GOP leadership does play the coward very well and if Trump does win they will likely cave like the weak sucks they are.

Perhaps yet another wimpy quisling establishment hack would be more to your liking?

That’s your only other choice. Choose wisely...

Donald really does need to learn what he's talking about before running his mouth.

Why should he change now?

Presidents have traditionally been given their choice for Chair of the RNC, but then, candidates traditionally haven't trashed the RNC itself. So I'd expect that the people in the party he's been trashing would like nothing more than to stick one in his eye and pick someone he doesn't like.
