If Donald Trump clinches the 1,237 delegates required to win the Republican nomination, he said he's not sure he'll keep Reince Priebus as chairman of the Republican National Committee.
"I don't know. I haven't made the determination," the Republican front-runner told The Washington Post in an interview posted Sunday.
The comments come as Trump spent the last few days attacking the Republican Party's nominating rules -- calling the process "rigged" against him -- which has caused top members to fight before their meeting in Florida later this week.

The national GOP organization voted back in 2012 to make a state's caucus results BINDING come the convention. It was the Colorado GOP that then voted in 2015 to do away with the caucus so as to avoid having to bind their delegates.
Not that I have any love for the man, but Priebus had nothing do to with the Colorado GOP pulling this trick. So why pick this fight? In the middle of the primary?
Classic Trump stupidity. Making enemies when he needs allies.
“Amazing to me how many real men seem to be living vicariously through Trump.”
I don’t know of any so please elaborate.
What’s striking is the HUUUGGEEE number of women that are supporting him on FR. I joined the Trump Family, and in talking to the posters I’ve found most are women. It’s hard to tell with screen names most of the time. Except ones like mine, but I still get someone from time to time who thinks I’m a male - must be a gay male to pick a name like CottonBall, LOL!
Trump doesn’t have the power to fire the RNC chair. He knows this. He also knows his loyal followers have believed all his other BS and will believe this too. Trump should be called “The Great Manipulator” of the uninformed. He is banking on the ignorance of the masses. He lies constantly and gets away with it because the populist loving people belieeeeeve.
This man reminds me of somebody in the past that manipulated the masses... Trying to remember... Who could it be?
No I don’t expect Trump to turn on the Democrats and here is why. When asked about his contributions to various democratic politicians, he candidly admitted that it was “to make deals”. The question should be what benefits from the contributions did Trump receive such as special zoning, building permits, inspection criteria, etc? Believe me, Trump wants this as hidden as possible and the last thing he needs is a pissed off Democrat. He can call it making deals all he wants, it is commonly known as bribery.
Name one.
Trumpkins don’t deal in evidence or facts - they rely on rumor, innuendo, and emotion.
To whom are you directing the “You’re a fool” comment?
[snort]
Your idea. I nominate you. :>)
But I do want to be the guy to toss Reince out the window.
“Name one. “
Nope.
If you want to believe that Reince is pure, go right ahead.
I remember when people thought JFK was pure.
“Replace him with Palin. I would soooooooo love that.”
Me, too!
The payback to the rnc and the way they treated her would be so sweet.
Like in "The Dark Knight"?
As expected, you've got nothing. No facts, no evidence, nothing. You're the one insisting he must be guilty of something, yet you cannot name one law he's broken. The burden of proof is on you, not me.
Actually, this is pretty normal. The incumbent President picks all of the ruling party’s leadership. However, if Trump chooses that same people that can understand delegate rules, GOD help the party.
Well enough, “appointment” was not the correct word. But if it makes you happy to think a sitting President cannot see to it that someone is removed from the position, you go on ahead and believe that.
All Trump has to do is quietly let it be known that anyone who supports Preibus is politically dead to Trump.
Preibus will resign because those who elect him need the POTUS to help their respective states.
Trump knows that he does not have to “fire” someone to make them go away for 4 years. He just has to let it be known that they are radioactive.
Most CEO’s know that they rarely have to fire someone — just let that person know, directly or indirectly, that none of their suggestions or programs will be funded. Only those with golden parachutes stick around to be fired.
hmmm.. Only the first floor window.
I dont want to mar our first day in control with a murder charge
Old Reince is going to be thoroughly rinsed. :-)
The 2011 Republican National Committee (RNC) chairmanship election was held on January 14, 2011, to determine the next chairman of the RNC, who will serve a two-year term ending in 2013 and will lead the party through the 2012 general elections. After seven rounds of balloting, Reince Priebus was elected chairman over incumbent chair Michael Steele, Saul Anuzis, Ann Wagner and Maria Cino.
