Yes, that’s exactly how it is these days. I grew up in SE VA, and in my advanced classes, there was maybe 1 black student. With the honor grads, there was 2, out of 50+. This was about ten years ago.
My older sister went to a predominantly black school (think 95%) and was on the path to being valedictorian. For this particular school, that was not an option.. they let the salutatorian retake exams until he became valedictorian. I kid you not. The culture is to not excel, but white people can’t do better than they’re doing, either. With the BLM movement, it only became more apparent to me as I got older..

Yes, but they don’t give up easily, and the fight against them requires constant vigilance. After the fall of the USSR they regrouped and stepped up their efforts. At some level their fanaticism is not much different than that of suicide bombers.
So, being late is not a form of disrespect to the people waiting to hear some banality, but, a form of respect for black people.
I hope Tony the Tiger reads this and realizes the respect I was showiing him when I walked into his meeting late.

Yeah. American bosses do that, too, and I don’t mind working overtime for which I am not financially compensated, if needed. But I work to live, not live to work.

You’re right, but I’m realizing that the “fundamental transformation” is occurring despite the Republican governors (or House, or Senate) - and that is what is fueling the anti-establishment sentiment in both halves of the Uniparty/Republocrats.
I used to work my tail off (in terms of unpaid overtime), and the company would occasionally reward it. When token promotions started, and the recognition stopped, so did the unpaid overtime; money/titles were being thrown at women who never worked like the men did, so I just took my cue from those same women and work the bare minimum. Nobody has had the gall to say anything about it, because then they would have to defend the tokenism; it is easier for them to shut up and let the ganders work like geese.
I’ve never had such a great work/life balance, and I’ve never been paid more. I don’t make a ton of money, but I make more working a 40 hour week than I did working 50+...

While I was getting a graduate degree, the professor who was my advisor was letting black students write their papers in Ebonics dialect.
For those of you who don’t know about Ebonics, it was a intellectual fad among educators some years ago where black speech/writing from the ghetto was deemed to have as much validity IN A University CLASSROOM as a language such as Spanish, Russian or Chinese.
Giving Ebonics full status as a valid language of communication in schools was a way of compensating for their home environment.
I think GWBush was correct in calling this sort of Liberal mushiness the “soft bigotry of low expectations.”
..........I really think the prevailing winds are turning politically in this country. We’ve got gale force moving to hurricane force in a few years! I think a good example is California trying to outlaw gun dealers. That’s just some punk ass State rep dreaming with a moronic press parroting!
I hope you’re right, but I fear the remaining Americans are too few to fight off the leftist takeover. Obama’s re-election in 2012 (after four years of outright, open failure) spoke volumes about what had happened to the population of this country.
