Donald Trump supporters walked out of a delegate election in Georgia Saturday to protest a vote that robbed Trump of all of his slated delegates from a district that he won in the primary.
A Cruz-Rubio alliance at the district convention in Buford, Georgia helped to knock Trump supporters out of the districts national delegation altogether. Cruz supporters implied that Trumps people would embarrass the district at the convention in Cleveland. Then things got heated.
This morning, I attended Georgia 7th Congressional District GOP convention as a delegate and a Donald Trump supporter. We were there to elect the 3 delegates and 3 alternates to the national convention, Ronnie Kurtz told Breitbart News. Per the primary results, two slots were for Trump, and one was for Rubio. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% Cruz finished third in the primary and had no delegates allotted to him Nonetheless, the hall was stacked with Cruz delegates.
On the first ballot, the party voted on a delegate slate that would have taken away one of Trumps delegates but would have, at least, still given him one representative. That bloc would have given Trump supporter Debbie Dooley one of the slots and a Cruz supporter named Carolyn Fisher another slot, with a Rubio slot going to local party convention chairman BJ Van Gundy. But Cruz supporters voted down that slate.

Cruz will find that he will have to answer for “a load of compromisin’ on the road to his horizon.”
That’s what a race is about, sweethearts.
Trump announced himself on Fox that he didnt want to spend the money campaigning there because he didnt think he could win.
*******************************
I think he said the same about CO. He fell back to his excuse that he didn’t want to spend all that money to be in the little States. .....Trump generally shows he has no respect for the flyover States, where most Conservatives live. He only cares about CA, the Atlantic coast and the Northeast.
Cruz talks about the issues constantly.
*******************************
His townhall on Hannity from Binghamton NY on Thursday was great. Sean actually gave him time to speak without constantly interrupting. The crowd loved his views on various issues. .....Cruz will win some districts in NY.
Well said. One vote for Trump before they are allowed to stab in in the back.
Ain’t that just grand of the Establishment?
Adding this to the definitive thread on the Cruz delegate hunt:

[In other words, it was just as rigged as Trump delegates claimed. Several links added starting at post 56 to help connect the dots.]

Under regulations established in the 1980s, delegates cannot take money from corporations, labor unions, federal contractors or foreign nationals. But an individual donor is permitted to give a delegate unlimited sums to support his or her efforts to get selected to go to the convention, including money to defray the costs of travel and lodging...
[snip]
Two things, there are serious people in the GOP that claim delegates can vote the way they want to vote and are not bounded by their state rules. Other serious people in the GOP say delegates can just skip the first vote. Cruz is scam bag politician doing the GOPe dirty work. I will never vote for the anti-American Globalist Ted Cruz.
It is wrong to assign to Trump a delegate that is loyal to a candidate other then Trump over the objections of Trump. That is just plan wrong. That you are OK with doing this means you are the problem.
It’s not only the presidency that concerns me. It could flow downstream and cost the Republicans the Senate and weaken the majority in the House.
It’s not for lack of support since 2 .1 million more prefer Trump.
Ground game is hustling people and inundated caucus states with Texans to sway the votes in states with .03-4% turnout because they make it difficult to vote.
And Cruz’s claim to Conservatism is hypocritical given his ineligibility and his actions and words on the campaign trail. Just another egotistical lawyer.

I was told yesterday that Trump is a liberal Democrat. My reply:
Corruption is killing the GOPe, now led by a Canadian. Their principles are a sham; it is only about power, which has corrupted them.
Cruz is getting into bed with all that he supposedly opposes - and his supporters continue to stay deaf/blind/dumb....
I wouldn't be surprised for the establishment to find a way to put Rubio into the General - after Cruz, he's their best bet these days....
The Plan is this: Cruz destroys Trump, shuts him out in the convention, and then the party takes out Cruz as Unelectedable—and puts in Jeb Bush or Mittens or Rubio. It must be stopped. In a Banana Republic—opposition people would be shot. I put nothing past these crooks. Donald Trump (and even Cruz) better watch out—threatened with a loss of power—the GOPe or DNC might well put out a Hit on Trump or Cruz or both. Putin warned us of such a thing.
That is exactly the plan. They will get their Jeb by hook or by crook. If they think the people will stand down, they are sorely mistaken.
This is the destruction of the Republican Party - pure and simple.
Poor dubious Cruz, playing with the big boys...and losing to his ego.
“When they attempted to destroy Palin - and in a way they did “
And the common denominator for Palin and Trump is that they want to “shake up” the Powers That Be, and threaten the existing gravy train. The establishment simply will not tolerate that. They don’t like Cruz much, either, but they do know for sure that he can be manipulated easily by them — because he has been already.
“Trump should just run as an independent.”
I wish that were true, but can he? Someone posted yesterday that many states have a law that prohibits a candidate from a party to move to run as an independent. Sore Loser Law, IIRC. If true, then his name wouldn’t be on ballots. (And write-ins usually are ignored.)
I had read there were only two states and they could be legally challenged. I think Clinton is likely our next President, and only Kasich or Trump could defeat her. I think Paul and Bush are more honorable than any of the others opposing Trump.
I knew that GOP leadership, especially in Congress, has been duplicitous, appeasing - cowardly if I were to try and put a single word on it, but in my wildest dreams or drunken stupor
Id never have believed that GOP could be best likened to Union Leadership. But there it is, there they are, in all their union glory doing what they damned well want.
NO LET ME get this STRAIGHT, he IS winning with the AMERICAN people it AMAZES me how this just doesn’t seem to matter to ANYONE in the establishment and their DAMNED rules!!! The rules are designed to ONLY benefit the establishment on BOTH sides of the isle!!! I have to admit even as involved as I have been for MANY years, I didn’t realize just how corrupt our system is!!! If these states want to have proportional delegates I think that is fine, or WINNER take all is also fine, BUT these BASTARDS going in after the candidate has won the state, sometimes in HUGE margins, to steal the delegates because the establishment has POWER over them is disgraceful!!! Most Americans DO NOT understand this they are not political junkies they are standing in line for HOURS because they THOUGHT their vote counted !!! GOP has screwed the pooch this cycle and so has Cruz for that matter!!!
