Ted Cruz Picks Up Nebraska Delegates over No Show Donald Trump
Breitbart.com ^ | April 14, 2016 | Alex Swoyer

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% can add Nebraska to his list of states where he’s out organized GOP frontrunner Donald Trump in collecting delegates.

“Party officials say they saw virtually no organization by the mogul’s campaign last week when Republicans in all 93 Nebraska counties held local conventions. Those county conventions picked 800 delegates to May’s Nebraska state convention, where 33 delegates to the national convention in Cleveland will be selected,” Politico reports. “Because there was little resistance, many county conventions became Cruz pep rallies, according to interviews with party insiders and convention attendees.”

“I didn’t see any Trump supporters,” said Washington County GOP member John Orr told Politico.

"Historically it has been done that way if you want your ass handed to you in the General. Which seems to be the plan here."

Well obviously that's not true, since historically this is how it was done, parties picked their own nominees, and they did go on to win elections.

If there's a plan to lose in the general over this it is Trump's plan. He's getting it done by convincing people he's being cheated and telling other lies. The only thing Trump cares about is Trump. If he doesn't win he doesn't give a damn if Hillary or Bernie do.

And he's not going to do all the things his followers expect of him even if he did win. Most of what he says is nonsense, or stuff that he'd have no power to accomplish, but he doesn't mean any of it anyway. He just wants people to appreciate him. It's all about Trump.

Once we get past the convention, if he makes it, he's going to need the non-Republicans to appreciate him. Wait and see how fast his "positions" change. Hell, he's told you people this already.

Wait’ll trumpfolx realize he doesn’t want to be Prez, but wants Cruz to and has cleared the highway for him. And he gets Commerce Sec. in return.

Look. The Wisconsin Democrats gave Cruz the counties surrounding Milwaukee last week to keep the schlub in the race.

They could have done the same thing with Trump - and Cruz would be done, instead of cruzers with pinwheels-for-eyes running amok on the forum, shrieking about how "Ted is going to do it!".

If Trump was the patsy, and a sure loser in the general, the Democrats would have lined him up for the slaughter.

But they needed the TRUE patsy, Cruz, to muddy the water for them because of their Bern-Hillary problem.

Cruz needs to wake up and smell the coffee.

BTW - I think both Cruz and Walker KNOW what the Wisconsin Democrats did. That makes Cruz's current posture even more egregious, if he knows.

That’s how I understood it. He was talking about the Cruz people “abusing the process” and followed up by saying they will be “challenging credentials”.

Like he met with Bill Clinton before he decided to run. What’s up with that?

Sorry, the exit polls disprove your thesis. Trump got the majority of the moderates, the independents and the Dems (as usual).

Trump is running as a populist reformer. I’d think this within the plausible ambit of things that he would complain about from that viewpoint.

Obama and Sanders are "populists"........notice which party they belong to?

Trump is running as a Republican, in a Republican primary....under a Republican form of Government.

If he doesn't understand what that means.....he's in the wrong party, IMHO

I don’t remember. Did McCain and Romney win enough primaries and caucuses to have a majority of delegates on the first ballot?

These ankle-biting uniparty rinos are just about the most obnoxious things on the face of the earth.

I had one telling me that he/she shelled out 40 grand and a thousand hours of volunteer time, and that ENTITLED them, By God!

I asked them how many times they got to vote. :)

These zealots don't get that Trump has ripped the mask off, killed the transmitter (if you've watched They Live).

The perennial line about holding your nose and voting for the nominee isn't going to work on the new Trump voters.

It might even backfire, badly.

Everyone with two brain cells saw the rino uniparty hypocrites refuse to hold their noses and nominate the sure winner, Trump, a month or two ago.

We'd have already hired the moving vans for the Trump family.

If they didn’t make 1237 are you saying the party would have chosen someone with less support?

An exit poll? Is that like an official ballot?

The OFFICIAL ballots had Trump winning social conservative Santorum's 2012 counties, and Cruz winning social squish Romney's 2012 counties.

Nice try, and thanks for playing!

"exit polls". Geez!

The ballot only tells you how many people voted and for whom. The exit polls give you insight into who different groups voted for.

The idiot zealots have already done a lot of damage to the brand. It would have been a cakewalk 6 weeks ago.

The Democrats would have been a herd of deer in the headlights of an M-1 Abrams.

Most of the nastycruzers are cursed with innumeracy.
