During Wednesday night’s live broadcast of the Cruz family Town Hall on CNN, one of the daughters of Texas Senator Ted Cruz seems to have let it slip that there is video of her father in a bizarre wardrobe choice that his PR team is almost certainly tracking down as we speak.
The Republican candidate for President and his wife Heidi were joined by their two daughters on stage with Anderson Cooper during a late portion of the broadcast. In keeping with the Town Halls this week, which were often focused on more personal elements of the candidates and their families, Cruz discussed a recent Daddy-Daughter picnic at school. To demonstrate some of the everyday goofiness in his role as Father in Chief, Cruz relayed a harmless story of fatherly dress-up.
“She got to dress up Daddy in a pink boa and these like, big goofy-looking underwear…” explained the Texas Senator.

When you have to leave your little daughter for many months at a time whole on deployment, getting to spend that much time with her was a blessing no matter what we did.
“I played “Pretty, Pretty Princess” with my daughter probably 100 times, because she loved it. This actually humanizes the guy a bit.”
Yep. He could use more of that.
Well that’s a low bar to compare. I think either trump or Cruz family would be a big improvement in the White House over the current grifters.
Your comment was it was just kids being kids showed rare restraint by a Trump supporter-look at what the other Trump supporters are spewing. Your rude comment to me, however, is par for the course from Trump supporters.

So true, the Republicans need to unite against Hiltery. In the meantime she is campaigning on suing gun makers if their gun is used in a crime and saying that black teens are jailed for crimes that whites commit with impunity.

I realize that ones family shouldn’t be an issue in a campaign of ANY sort..
HOWEVER,
If a guy is gonna send his wife and teen age + kids out and campaign for him or tow the younger ones up on stage for an ‘Art Linkletter’ moment, the candidate is opening his family up for dissection.
When ‘Suzy’ quips ‘My daddy doesn’t like the man/woman with orange hair’ and everyone gets a chuckle they have become part of the campaign.
Do people forget Connie Chung vs Newt Gingrichs mom?
She kept probing ‘mom’ till ‘mom’ called Hillary(?) a rhymes with witch on National TV after Connie assured ‘Mom’ the question was just ‘girl talk between us’.
Which all would have been ‘cute’ had not the lead (for days) been “Newts Mom calls Hillary(?) a Biatch on TV interview”.
I personally wasn’t the kind of Dad that would ‘allow’ such shenanigans (make over etc) but have no real problem with those that do.
Best answer for Cruz would have been - “You don’t have daughters do you”?
Kind of like the NFCU ad where the Marine dad says “PINK?? It is Pink” but he adds ‘Shes a Princess. Anyone got a problem with that’?

Same here. So what if there is a photo of Cruz dressed in pink underwear? How he dresses in his off time is no concern of mine.
But I should hasten to add that the Cruzers get a lot of mileage posting that goofy photo of Trump posing with Rudy Guiliani in drag at some benefit they were at together.

Yeah I’m not old but I have to say I have a 9 year old daughter and another little girl on the way in two weeks. My husband is late 30s and he would never do this. Nor do I think my daughter would even try it. She’s very into “boys are boys and girls are girls”. Our cat is a male. She chose a gender appropriate blue collar for him. Our female puppy on the other hand sports a gray & pink collar and my daughter chooses gender specific toys for the dog.
This is weird. Personally I think Cruz is a closet freak who’s playing the “Chrisitan right” for fools.
LOL, Trump’s spray tan and raccoon eyes look comical. The hair only completes the clown look.
