Cruz eyes double-agent delegates in bid to snatch GOP nomination from Trump
The Washington Times ^ | 4/13/2016 | S.A. Miller

Sen. Ted Cruz’s hopes for winning the Republican presidential nomination outright have faded, and he has shifted to a strategy of gaming the rules, angling to send enough double-agent delegates to the July convention to snatch victory from front-runner Donald Trump.

It’s a major reversal for Mr. Cruz, who just weeks ago insisted he would win the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch the nomination before the convention. But major wins in Utah, Wisconsin and Colorado have not closed the gap, with a series of East Coast primaries looming.

Now the best option for the senator from Texas is trench warfare at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

Yes, John, I’m sure I am.

You poor folks.

Trump thinking would take a businessman who directs his business finances in accordance and in compliance with the intent of all the tax codes, and they would label him a cheat for living by ‘loopholes’ when he itemizes his taxes.

When Cruz simply looks at the rules, and plays by the rules to win, they label him a thief, because he happens to win in some forums when he lives by the rules, instead of calling Trump a liar.

AM I a Cruz advocate? Not really, but I really don’t care for the methods the Trump supporters advocate in opposing Cruz.

Interesting. I guess man has always been rotten, it just ebbs and flows in intensity through history, all depending on the kindness of God and His restraining power.

He does this, just think what he’d do to for the American people....

Ted Cruz is our creation. The response of the American people over seven years since Rick Santelli's rant on the floor of the CBOT to the weak sisters in government who betrayed us. We wanted a fighter we said. No more Boehners, No more McConnells.

We got what we wanted. Don't cry about it now.

if a stunt like that was pulled trump supporters would likely burn down the joint....literally. plus hes going to get a couple more outright majorities in the coming weeks that will most definitely be loyal.

Cruz is running out of money. At least, that's what his and Heidi's non-stop email begging says.

If he's promising cash payoffs, LOTS of his delegates are going to get stiffed. Plus, snakes like him don't pay up even if they have the cash.

It was the viewers who forgot them. Some years ago I asked myself, why am I paying to watch these people explain what I had already heard or read? Even after the debates, these fashion models all group together for the big news, to tell the TV audience what they all just heard. And now the twisted version.

I reached a point where I had zero need for their opinions or chatter.

I want someone with backbone and guts to return this country to it’s rightful place...Someone who is not beholden to the “establishment elites”

Teddy is harvard law. Elegant and efficient simplicity such as yours is not in teddy’s ivy league dna. He abhors KISS: Keep it simple, stupid. On his facebook page, “it’s complicated” applies not just to his marital status, but to his overall outlook on life.

He can’t game a general election.

What’s your boy gonna do then?

Cruz is now establishment and it seems his supporters have embraced it.

How you can live with what’s become of your candidate is beyond me.

What worries me in particular is that the GOP-e wraps the convention around the axle, what you say happens, we lose the WH & senate, Congress squeaks a confiscatory “assault weapons” law through, SCOTUS upholds one of those Democratic rubber-stamping federal district courts, and then FRiend, we’re in CWII.
Or it could be the EBT cards stop working. After 8 years of Obama “bringing us together,” it could be anything.

not beholden to establishment elites? he’s a freaking billionaire...they don’t GET any more establishment elite than that.

anyone that thinks that a billionaire is going to challenge the status quo that made him a billionaire and protects his billions is believing a fairy tale.

If that really happened Vet, even your collection of black dildos would be in danger of getting melted down in the revolutionary chaos that would follow.

Loozer Cruzers. They will soon find they are the cause of denying the antiestablishment victory. Of all people. Never thought Cruz and his followers would be the culprit. cruzers, seriously ya’ll need to dig deep, swallow the pride and realize your candidate is a young man and can rerun in am8 years after Trump clears the path for the antiestablishments. Do some soul searching. You know I’m right
