YOU WONT BELIEVE THIS! CRUZ SUPPORTERS ATTEMPT COUP AT EAGLE FORUM!
Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly has been a national leader of the conservative movement since the publication of her best-selling 1964 book, A Choice Not An Echo. She has been a leader of the pro-family movement since 1972 when she led the fight to defeat the Equal Rights Amendment.
Phyllis Schlafly is 91 years-old.
On March 11, 2016 conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump for President at his St. Louis rally.
But not everyone in her organization, Eagle Forum or her family agreed with Phyllis Schlaflys decision.
Last week Phyllis Schlafly released several board members for disloyalty to the organization. The group was planning to hold rogue board meeting to take over the Eagle Forum.
Today the rogue Cruz supporters attempted a coup.
They held a non-sanctioned meeting and blocked Phyllis Schlafly from their conference call.
This email was sent out Monday afternoon.
St. Louis, Missouri:
At 2pm today, 6 directors of Eagle Forum met in an improper, unprecedented telephone meeting. I objected to the meeting and at 2:11pm, I was muted from the call. The meeting was invalid under the Bylaws but the attendees purported to pass several motions to wrest control of the organization from me. They are attempting to seize access to our bank accounts, to terminate employees, and to install members of their own Gang of 6 to control the bank accounts and all of Eagle Forum.
The members of their group are: Eunie Smith of Alabama, Anne Cori of Missouri, Cathie Adams of Texas, Rosina Kovar of Colorado, Shirley Curry of Tennessee, and Carolyn McLarty of Oklahoma.
This kind of conduct will not stand and I will fight for Eagle Forum and I ask all men and women of good will to join me in this fight.
This is a developing story-
Let’s ride heavy, too, ya punk.
Pussy-ass punk bitch.
Globalists are not Conservative. Cruz is a Globalist. Therefore he is not a conservative.
Cruz was an establishment lawyer under Bush, helped write his NAFTA bill. When he got his ass handed to him in the south he called in the establishment to take over and run his campaign.
Little fact; Cruz is winning nothing now, its all the GOPe political machine. If he had such a good ground game and talent with delegates he would not have lost the south as bad as he did. This is why the GOPe is smug and moving to install a Rino like Ryan at the convention.
Hint, when the delegates from Colorado are primarily State GOP party officers and donors, you are getting shafted if you think they are supporting Cruz for the Nomination.
Please note how many conservatives on here have soured on Cruz after learning his history.
I am a USMC Veteran, Christian conservative. I, like you, thought Cruz was as he presented. Hes not. Many many smart conservatives like Palin, Sessions and Sheriff Joe, etc have seen thru his Lawyer created fake conservative shell.
Are we all liberals now?
First, you know better than to talk about someone without pinging them! Shame on you!
Second, although Slyfox and I happen to be on opposite sides of the Cruz/Trump candidacies, I trust what Sly says about EF and Phyllis Schlafly without question.
Sly is most definitely NOT a detractor of Schlafly. In fact, there has been no bigger proponent of Phyllis than Slyfox.
If Slyfox says there are shenanigans inside the inner workings of EF, then that's what I believe to be the truth.
Paul Ryan thanks you for helping to elect Hillary to continue the Globalist NAU plan, but then you would have voted for Jeb if your party bosses told you too.
Yep. It’s totally clear now Cruzers are the porch conservatives of the GOP plantation. Ever since their messiah jumped into the sack with amnesty Ryan to enable TPA/TPP the writing has been on the wall. Ted Cruz is a bought and paid for career politician. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Cruzers act like they are in a cult.
“She does if its done in the name of the Eagle Forum!”
But, what does that say about the importance (or unimportantce) of these other people to the Eagle Forum?
Her stated reason for endorsing Trump was logical and consistent with her past statements. She has long said there was a small group of “kingmakers” who chose the GOP nominee; that the will of the will of the rank and file Republicans did not matter. That’s why she endorsed Trump. She saw Trump as an opportunity to break that kingmaker-cabal.
Schlafly was ahead of the curve in recognizing the GOP establishment for what it was—decades ahead of the curve.
“Cruzers don’t care about his record because they all have mentality of cultists. “
Bump that.
Rashputin: He's a solid, Presbyterian, Calvinist. Since you've obviously never read Calvin or Presbyterian theologians...
So since you claim to be so familiar with Calvinist teachings, are you saying that a man can be a serial fornicator his whole life, never once pray and ask God for forgiveness of any of his sins and still be a "Great Christian" simply because he is a Calvinist?
Quite a bit better than being a groveling lickspittle who is a slave to the elites who would dictate who they will ALLOW you to vote for, and how much rope you’ll be allowed to hang yourself.
I may well be a bastard, but I’m damned if I’ll be called treasonous for refusing to submit to my supposed “betters”.
I’ll vote for whomever I DECIDE best represents my interests; and the parties, coalitions, preferred candidates, PACs, and YOU can politely sod off if that doesn’t suit you.
I personally am sick to death of FReepers recycling this same discredited, dishonest, manipulative GARBAGE every election cycle. I don’t owe you or the republican party anything.
You have outed yourself as just plain ignorant, on so many levels.,
Not only is Theo correct is saying the original Freeper post is wrong on many levels, but to be a little bit more specific from my perspective, probably those that hold to Dominion Theology would never vote for a any of the candidates and/or any of the Republican or Democrat candidates, not sure about that though, but I have found most of them would vote for an barely known Independent that would align with their Christian beliefs, if they vote at all.
The problem with Phyllis Schlafly and the Eagle forum is that they have become too big of a big tent Christian organization that has taken in too many individuals from different theological perspectives to keep the organization going finicially, and that is a sure sign for failure down the road. It would be best if the organization stayed out of endorsing candidates, but they are just like most Christian organization, they need a hero to put up on a pedestal to worship for better or worse and they can't agree to who to put up on a pedestal to worship, because the big tent attitude has taken in to many un-christian individuals with a immature attitude that have no clue about real life.
I did pick up on that, and that also is not proper here either as board members are generally selected by the membership, unless it is a nonprofit without members in which case this is open season for a cat-fight of enormous magnitude.
OTOH, if they had breached their fiduciary duties and she therefore told them their presence was no longer welcome, they have an option. They can go to court for an order invalidating corporate actions in their absence and restoring their positions on the board. But their improper actions would come to light in court.
Sounds like a mess to me.
And thankfully I wont be listening to him anymore. Its getting tight under Cruz’s desk with Rush, Levin, and Beck there.
“....he (tRump) is going to get slaughtered by Hilary Clinton in any general election. And nothing can change that.”
That’s just one reason why the GOP will do anything to keep him from being the nominee. I don’t even think they want Cruz. Rumor is, they want Ryan with Kasich as the VP. This is why Kasich is still in. He knows about it, Cruz knows, and Trump does, too.
Maybe.
And thankfully I wont be listening to him anymore. Its getting tight under Cruzs desk with Rush, Levin, and Beck there.

Isn’t that the truth!
Thank you for that reasoned and true post.
Maybe you were just a wee bit harsh. Cruz is a psychotic, smarmy, disgusting wife-cheater who is an establishment globalist, but I wouldn’t damn his followers. True, there are some truly delusional fruitcakes that follow him, but there are good people who back him also.
