Calling the Colorado Republican Partys decision not to hold a primary popular vote a scandal, talk-radio host Michael Savage declared Sen. Ted Cruz should disavow the move and call for a vote.
What just happened in Colorado should, frankly, disqualify Cruz, who claims to be a constitutional conservative, Savage told his listeners Monday.
Savage is a strong supporter of GOP front-runner Donald Trump, who has been a regular guest on The Savage Nation. (full article at link)

If Trump had been paying attention to details instead of flying around the country grandstanding he might have had a clue what to do in this situation. He thinks he can get this done on force of personality alone and that is not how it works!! I don’t want this shoddy sheister representing me anywhere in the world. Just like Obama if you ask me. Doesn’t have to do the hard work. Just show up.
Just finished reading the Constitution again and still couldn't find any directions on how state political parties are to hold their primaries.
Too Funny!
He's another one that I'm glad is out there but can't stand to listen to. Between his ego-maniacal reminders about his education and his meatball and sailing diatribes, I disagree with him often, especially when he talks about all the people that have it in for him.
Again, he is good for the country and I hope liberals listen to most of what he says if it only moves the ball a little bit. But every time I try to listen to him I end up switching the station. I had Neal Bortz in this category too. I hunt and I'm "fat". So Neal hated me regardless of anything else. Hannity even gets to me when he has guests on. I don't think a liberal has ever finished a sentence on Hannity's show. I'd like to hear what they say and then see it get ripped to shreds with logic and intelligence. Glen Beck started out good and then went .... well, I'm not sure what you call what he went. He dabbled in Tinfoil Hattery and then went full throttle crackpot conspiracy antagonizer.
And the Cruz campaign commercial depicting tens of millions of Americans as Nazis and Trump as Hitler? Cruz is totally innocent here too right?
Cruz abides by the rules right?
That’s not true. Rush very clearly said the CO GOP-E screwed up and exposed themselves as trying to null the will of the voters in Colorado.
Folks who are still with Teddy and the Cruzers are so invested in donations, in defending their guy, in believing his every word. After so long, breaking up is hard to do. It must be embarrassing to have to come on over now, and admit that it took this long to see the light. We should show them compassion and understanding. It's much like when a friend finally leaves an abusive lover. We should not question why it took so long, but instead rejoice in their return to sanity.
So, Cruzers, come on over! It's not too late. We forgive you.
Trump’s lack of preparation does not register as an emergency on my give-a-crap meter.
+1. Seems Trump is always geting out foxed and out gunned by Cruz. The Trumpsters can cry and call it stealing votes and that the Canadian is a lyin' crook and blah, blah, blah.
Whatever. #Nevertrump
And yet Trump disciples are trying to sell the National Enquirer as a legit news source.
Newt is backing Trump.
In a fair vote, there would be a run-off election between the top two winners because Trump got under 50% of the popular vote. That would be clear and fair and would give Cruz the win, because everyone can see it’s just a vocal minority that’s backing Trump and everyone else thinks he’s a joke.
Not surprised.
The Constitution says the states can select electoral votes however they want. So.....why couldn’t a state select its delegates however it wants? But.....whatever you think of it, the Colorado state Republican Party is an organization that gets to write its own rules and select its delegates however it wants. So what’s the problem? If trump did the exact same thing that Cruz did - all well within the rules until demonstrated otherwise, and won all the delegates, neither he nor any of his supporters expressing all this faux outrage would have a problem with it. He’s a spoiled brat and a crybaby.
How many votes did Trump and Kasich get in Colorado??
“How pathetic that all these people are making excuses for the ineptness of thr trump campaign.
Did Cruz make the rules?
Were the rules a secret?
Did anyone prevent the Trump campaign fron knowing the rules and running a campaign in CO?
No, no, no.”
Yeah. And the Holocaust and slavery were legal and within the rules too! What’s their problem? The blacks and Jews should stop their whining. What a bunch of crybabies. Go Cruz! </s>
Just because it’s legal, doesn’t mean it’s moral or right.
Laws Trump Rules.
Ever heard of Jim Crow Laws, poll frauds, federal racketeering laws, election fraud?
The American Revolutionary was over no representation.
Savage is right. Colorado changed its rules in August. At that time, Trump led Cruz in the polls. They were clearly afraid of an actual vote, and instead opted to allow the party bosses to decide for the million or so Colorado republican voters.
This move allowed Cruz to capture all 30 of the state’s delegates. If Cruz believes in fair play, he should renounce these delegates, because the process used to obtain them flies in the face of the stated goal of the GOP’s own rules, found in the preamble of the national rules, which states in relevant part:
“It is the intent and purpose of these rules to encourage and allow the broadest possible participation of all voters in Republican Party activities at all levels and to assure that the Republican Party is open and accessible to all Americans.”
Does anyone believe that the process chosen by Colorado, which totally cut out the state’s voters and thus failed to assure that the process was open and accessible to all Coloradans, lived up to the spirit of the GOP’s own rules?
Legal? Perhaps. Sleazy and further evidence of GOPe overreaching?
Without a doubt.
I agreed with Savage when he deplored baseless and sleazy attacks on Cruz by those peddling phone NE articles and smears. I agree with him now when he urges Cruz to deplore the sleaze which resulted in Cruz being awarded delegates at the expense of the voice of Colorado’s rank and file republicans.

It's the Republican Party. They can do whatever the hell they want. However...
At the point where people decide that said party no longer best represents their interests, they can feel completely free to leave it.
For me, that will be when the Kasich-Ryan (or vice-versa) ticket is trotted out, to maximize the message that I wish to send to that bunch of Vichy Democrats.
The complaint of Colorado being unfair is a balderdash lie by Trump.
The proper time to complain is before a result when you think there is a process problem.
You can only claim execution problems after the contest has started.
Trump did not show up. He is still able to claim he was robbed. He has to be laughing at his supporters. I am.
He is a loser folks and a whiner, and a cheap assed billionaire. This is his behavior and it won’t changed after the election.
