He has been at the helm of Trump's delegate team for just three days, but Paul Manafort has already shown he will be pulling no punches when it comes to the billionaire's rivals.
Speaking to NBC's Meet The Press on Sunday, Manafort accused Cruz's team of 'Gestapo tactics, scorched-earth tactics' when it comes to the scrap for delegates.
Manafort also suggested that the Texas senator's team have been resorting to threats and intimidation in order to secure backers.

Ted Cruz needs to write a book for Donald Trump and call it the “The Art Of The Delegates”!
Schemers, bureaucrats and insider political cronies follow “rules”. An American follows much a simpler and honest foundation - the US Constitution.
Project much ?
You Trump supporters need to insist on him dropping the Saul Alinsky crap.
>You Trump supporters need to insist on him dropping the Saul Alinsky crap.
So who’s been intimidated by Trump? Well, besides those college kids who run screaming every time someone calks Trump 2016 on their campuses. I can see how they feel intimidated.
We’ve wanted Cruz to drop the Saul Alinsky crap since Carson in Iowa, but his lack of ethics and Lust for power drives him to seemingly endless corruption, but I feel your pain.
That’s why the stupid Senate rule (put in by Harry Reid) that nothing comes to the floor unless it already has 60 votes is unConstitutional. Why bother to deliberate if the only questions decided by the Senate already have the majority — why not just “deem” these questions already passed (a la Nancy Pelosi)and send them right to the President’s desk?
Gestapo was merely an attention grabbing word and it was very effective.
Millenials probably think gestapo is a new Starbucks flavor.Trump has hired an out of touch campaign manager. What next, Pol Pot tactics. Oh, that is some Chinese dish.
The current rules have been in place since 2012. Check your math blogpimp.
in other words, the DT campaign was caught unprepared and flat-footed.
Considering the antics in Colorado I’d say that’s a fair analysis
At this point Cruz is acting like a petulant child
It is clear at this point, the only “principled conservative” thing to do is to nominate the candidate with the least amount of delegates. Does anyone have 1 single delegate? If so, that’s our guy!
The rules in Colorado were changed late last year. The way Colorado was handled was outrageous
A minority party that believes in the Constitution (i.e., the second-tier Uniparty GOP) would have filed suit to allege those rules were unconstitutional and have them invalidated by the USSC.
The ball-less GOP (in my mind, Vichy Americans) chose not to do so because of ease, comfort in 2nd-tier status, and for their own entrenchment and advancement. They cared nothing about the Constitution’s America, nor us for that matter.
Crux is exactly the type of candidate the Framers of the Constitution wanted the new Nation to guard against.
When Trump won, Cruz made a "victory speech" saying 62% reject Trump....but Cruz never applies the reject vote to himself.
Cruz is the REAL reject in the pack.
“Ted Cruz needs to write a book for Donald Trump and call it the The Art Of The Delegates!”
Smile for the morning. Trump worshippers are all aglow at his credentials as a businessman for knowing the “rules” of business, but call Cruz a sleaze and a Liar for knowing the “rules” of gathering delegates
