After several years of incarceration in his native Romania, Marcel Lazar Lehel, aka Guccifer, has finally arrived this week in Alexandria, Virginia, to face nine charges of computer hacking. Guccifer, it will be recalled, is the one who revealed the presence of Hillary Clinton's private server through his hacking of Sidney Blumenthal's email account.
Catherine Herridge and Pamela K. Browne of Fox point out the interesting timing of his extradition:
Romanian media have reported the [FBI] request came on or about Dec. 29, 2015. That would have been shortly after the intelligence community's identification of emails beyond "top secret" on Clinton's personal server, which became public in mid-January.
The extradition of Lehel may be tied in closely to the unraveling of the Hillary email conundrum. He claims to have secreted as yet undisclosed Clinton documents "in the cloud." He recalls having spent hours reading them and then going "gardening."
The cackle is a tell....... the statement or question is on target
Fort Marcy Park is just a short drive up river.
While I agree with everything that should happen to Hillary, I think the Feds are playing a different game. They are going to hide Guccifer in plain sight. All they have to do is let him sit in prison for 18 months. They can’t talk to him without a lawyer. I am sure that has all been settled. He doesn’t have immunity so “nothing” is happening. He will be shipped back to Europe without being touched. No one will ever see or hear about the docs he has in the cloud. He is getting credit in Europe for the time he is in the US Prison system. This is all for naught. If he was in Europe, more could leak out and that is why he was brought here.
FBHI probably using this moran to support charge of gross
negligence in handling of classified material
Also unauthorized disclosure for giving it to Blumenthal
Being here allows his name to be included in the proposed witness list offered to Justice. Even if he is never called, his presence mitigates Justice in declining to prosecute, one less excuse they could cite.
have you stayed at a holiday inn express?
The entire Executive branch needs to be charged with treason.
That doesn’t match what Guccifer said in Romania. He wants to talk. It’s taken quite a while for the FBI to get permission to bring him to this country. I don’t think taking a deposition there is the same as testifying in front of a jury. He’ll be able to provide testimony about what he’s read and possibly provide copies of the material from the cloud.
This looks like an end run around Hillary’s defense. Guccifer’s lawyer will have no reason to object to the prosecution’s questions. That means every thing Guccifer learned about Hillary’s racketeering will be public record. The FBI probably started deposing Guccifer under oath the day after he arrived.
Keep in mind Guccifer has already been indicted. His testimony plus the details from Pagliano don’t bode well for Hillary.
Lazar is being housed in the Alexandria City Jail. No idea of the custody level of that place, but since it is used to house Federal prisoners, I assume it is very tight. Of course bad things can and do happen in prisons...
Hillary bested by an unemployed taxi driver..!!
Love the sound of that..!!
No reason at all. She’s a Clinton. Clinton’s walk. It’s what they do.
I hope what you say is going to happen. It doesn’t matter whether he has already been indicted. It only matters if he has been given immunity or has already cut a deal on the US charges. That could easily happen or have already happened. IMHO I think it is more likely that the DOJ is just using this as a false flag event and nothing ever happens. Guccifer may want to testify but if the DOJ does not call him before the court then he will not get to speak at all. 18 months is too long to wait for the damage. The DOJ could have easily struck a deal with him while he was in Europe but that doesn’t appear to be the case. Obama runs the DOJ thru Lynch.
It does matter that he’s been indicted. Evidence has been presented to a federal grand jury to get the true bill (indictment).
