Republican presidential candidate Texas Senator Sen. Ted Cruz told Fox News Channel host Bill OReilly that he defends GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump a lot on Thursdays OReilly Factor.
After Cruz pointed to Trumps donations to liberal politicians, OReilly objected that these donations werent made as a politician. OReilly then advised Cruz to have a press conference in Penn Station to see what has happened to it under Mayor Bill de Blasio (D).
Later on, Cruz argued theres liberal intolerance in New York state, and stated that New York State Senator Rubén Díaz (D) told him that he knew exactly what Cruzs reference to New York values meant, and that Díaz pointed to New York Governor Andrew Cuomos (D) statement that extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay have no place in the state of New York, because thats not who New Yorkers are.
OReilly responded that Trump doesnt subscribe to any of that. Cruz objected that Trump does because he funded it. OReilly again said that this was done as a businessman. And You can have two lives.

Power. It’s all about me. Be prepared for the furthering of all the social programs that are killing this country.
“Well, it was a joking reference actually”
Sorry second cup..Yeh, I wasn’t sure...to be truthful, some of the guys in my neighborhood weren’t much better. Rough crowd:)
What idiots. We wouldn’t even be talking about the real issues and government policy that is commiting cultural genocide on America if it weren’t for Trump!
Trump is the voice.
I remember when I lived in Manhattan friends showing me middle income towers in Queens and Brooklyn where supposedly Fred Trump and his mother had built them
Usual red brick plain 10-15 floors like something from Central Planning
Geraldo likes Trump because they are friends many years
It’s odd
Ted Cruz is not a Constitutional-originalist. Were Cruz really a Constitutional-originalist he would not be running for president. There is no way in he[[ that the son of a Cuban born in Canada is a natural born citizen of the United States under original intent.
There is no way a Constitutional-originalist would have voted for the Corker amendment.
There is no way a Constitutional-originalist would have voted to reauthorize the Patriot Act.
There is no way a Constitutional-originalist would have voted for the TPP enabling TPA.
I like your style and argument, nathanbedford. As a Cruz supporter, you know you are vastly outnumbered now by Trumpsters like myself. I respect your courage in speaking out and defending your positions with good arguments and reason. I read your lengthy and interesting discussion on your personal link about Thomas Jefferson and your avatar Nathan Bedford. Good stuff. Fine commentary. I think everyone here should read it. You perhaps have read the books or heard the audios of the late Shelby Foote who did great work educating Americans about the valor of men on both sides of the Civil War. I especially enjoyed his discussion of the Battle of Shiloh. I'm a Northeastern (mostly Cape Cod, Boston area), but my Southern wife (born in southern Japan :- ) and I are moving to live in Athens, Georgia next week. So I look forward to becoming better acquainted with the Confederate side of my American blood. Being a student of military history, perhaps you'll enjoy a new digital image I put together of Patton and some of his best quotes.... Cheers. |
“if it werent for Trump!”
True enough...
Where does Mr. KKK live? I figured I’d ask rather than wade through the excessive verbosity of his manifesto-like posts.
Keep smoking Joe.. Keep smoking.
I think Germany.
Thank you for the kind words including those concerning my personal link.
All the best to you and your wife in your new life in Georgia. I look forward to reading your posts.
Some of us speak in vernacular and some, like you, write in a pompous and biblical fashion. Although, the dragon reference might be you channeling Malory in a equally pompous and ineffectual manner.
So back to the vernacular: buzz off!
Mister nathanbedford:
What do you feel about a politician who is as talented and knowledged as Ted Cruz having to resort to lying about an opponent’s stances on the issues. It is well documented in dozens of videos from debates and rallies, that Ted Cruz lies consistently on Donald Trump’s positions on:
NATO
OBamaCare
Gun Rights
Iran Nuclear Deal
How do you square that ?
I like your vernacular
Not odd at all. Its the New York City/Long Island connection. They have known each other for decades so it all goes back to who and whom and Geraldos open borders politicking (for years!) he casts this all aside and who knows why not even Geraldo.
If you are so smart you need to be at UNZ.COM but Steve Sailer way over to the right hand side of website. See him there?
In general it is my understanding that Cruz' has commented on past opinions expressed by Trump, or, alternatively, predicts future actions by Trump if elected based on Trump's past statements. I understand that Trump has modified many of those older statements inconvenient to campaigning to be acceptable to the Republican Party. A candidate is not bound to accept the recantations of his adversary merely because they are made.
Predictions of future behavior are perfectly within the normal bounds of campaign oratory especially if they are connected to statements or history of the opponent.
Beyond that I cannot venture without knowing more.
I like yours, too.
:-)
Cruz is establishment. Gawwwwdddd.
Never mix your Trump wine with Mad Dog.
Jedi.
