Liberal progressives will never hear a Conservative point of view. Trump is supported in NY because he is NOT a true conservative.
Heck, democrats from Texas are more conservative than republicans in NY. That's the naked truth.

In Texas, Sheila Jackson Lee is one of the most liberal progressive/socialist congress persons sitting in the House. She also was born and raised in none other than Queens, NY. Can't fix stupid y'all.

By the way, Trump also will lose NY to the democrat nominee in the general. Does this not point to NY values? Hmmmm

FWIW, Jeanne Kirkpatrick spoke of “San Francisco Democrats” at the 1984 GOP Convention. Reagan won CA later that year.

His dismissal of "New York values" didn't endear him to the Empire State

The truth hurts.

While I am not a huge fan of Ted Cruz I contend that a broken clock is right twice a day. The Bronx and most of New York City is a hell hole where there is no respect for human life. With all the slashings, shootings, beatings, etc. People in the Bronx had the nerve to get snippy with Cruz. He is right and they just do not like it.

New York Values -

Exhibit A:

"Yes, it's former NYC mayor Rody Giuliani in drag having his "breasts" shamelessly violated by "Apprentice" tycoon Donald Trump. "

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IrE6FMpai8

Exhibit B:

Trump was building his eponymous empire of hotels, casinos, and high rises in the early 1980s in New York City and Atlantic City. In both places, the construction industry was firmly under the thumb of the mafia.

I dunno about the rest of the Jury - but that's what the phrase "New York Values" brings to my mind when Donald Trump is the topical context.

I see the Cruzers are chiming right in as expected with their attacks that NY is too liberal, we’re not conservative here, Ted was right, NY values, we don’t want NY votes. All the usual garbage. So predictable and further evidence that these people live in a bubble where apparently spouting Bible verses exemplifies conservative values. No matter. While they scoff at us, we will gladly give most if not all of our 95 delegates to Trump, eliminating Ted from mathematical contention. Ted can continue to be what he’s always been, the proverbial turd in the punch bowl.

Hey Ted. I'm a Texan.

This is MY picture of New York values.

Stop trying to slam the wrong people.

Try as he might, Cruz simply can’t get past the “asshat factor.”

The real question is why so many GOP voters are chronically enamored by that kind of presentation. It’s very strange.

Well, Trump’s values aren’t “New York values.” I’m from New York, and I lived through not one but two of his very public tabloid-friendly divorces (where he came out as a total creep and a little crazy, too) and his various shady business dealings and bankruptcies, as well his attempt to seize the property of the little old lady in Jersey. He did provide a lot of copy for the press, I will say.

The fact that his antics appeared in the press on a regular basis was not because he reflected “New York values” but because he didn’t, and was almost the parody of the spoiled rich kid run amok that every New Yorker hates - even though he was way past being a kid at that point, so you couldn’t even excuse it that way.

Well, this article does not mention this man that the Inquisitr report quoted, who gets what it was Cruz was trying to say:
Donald Sadler, told the Huffington Post that he is a Cruz supporter and that he was glad to see Cruz in his borough. Sadler said that he understood what Cruz meant by “New York values” and that he agrees with the Texas senator.

“I understand clearly,” he said. “I’m pro-life. I’m pro-Second Amendment. I’m born and raised in New York City. I’m pro-family, traditional family, traditional marriage. These are our values. This is my value. This is not the general value of how voters in New York vote, and that’s what he said.”

So, some do get it.

Sadly, the way Trump initially phrased the original comment during the debate, and then the way that Trump it turned around on him...followed by the press, means that very, very few New Yorker's will make the connections that this man has.

Cruz is showing fortitude in going there and trying to get the explanation out...and I can respect that. In addition, if he can somehow keep Trump below 50% it would be worth his while...but that seems unlikely.

Quite frankly, at this point, his time would probably be more productively spent in PA and MD.

New York Values: 1.Commonly used term only applying to NYC, which is in itself noteworthy, as those with New York Values do not consider that fly-over country even exists, not even in their own state. 2. Belief that people can only attain happiness through the direct and heavy hand of the government to control every aspect of their daily lives. 3. A disdain for individual liberty, Christianity, European cultural history, and the great ignorant masses, defined by their geographical location in fly-over country.

Cuomo, Scheinderman, Schumer, Gillibrand, Clinton, Rangel, Nadler, Lowey, Israel, Spitzer, Mahoney, Maloney, Engel, Slaughter, King (R that’s like a D), Patterson and the list goes on, past and present. There are no values there.
