The GOP presidential candidates arent the only ones calling, texting, emailing, schmoozing and all-out lobbying the men and women likely to be delegates to the Republican National Convention.
The deep-pocketed outside groups known as super PACs have joined the frantic, behind-the-scenes campaign now underway across the country to influence the 2,472 delegates poised to play an outsize role in what could be the Republican Partys first contested convention in four decades.

I wish they had worked this hard to Stop Ubama.
If there is a Brokered Convention and G.O.P pisses away it's momentum with Shenanigans, than they are going to Lose in November, even if Cruz is the Nominee.
Whoever it is going to be needs to win outright. Too Much Bad Blood would have been brewed in our own ranks for the Repub Nominee to win. (We control our own destiny, 2016 is ours to lose)
And The GOPe and Bosses are perfectly fine with a loss.
Why? Because what difference would it make? Hillary is Pres? oh no....They still have their Buffets, Their Crackers and Cheese and they get to go to Nine Rivers Country Club every Sunday, so shut up base.
Then voter nullification of the largest voting block becomes Ted' only route to the nomination.
Voter nullification... Ted Cruz, little man on campus.
Too bad Trump doesn’t have a lot of money, too.
The goal of the GOPe, IMO, is to get enough party loyalists as Trump and Cruz delegates to be able to overturn rule 40 and make a contested convention with someone else possible. That IMO will be the real battle royale.
Sounds more like a bunch of money interests are attempting to subvert voters and buy delegates, hence buying an election.
For their sake and safety, they better hope that I’m wrong with my observation.
Absolutely spot on post. The victor in all this bloodletting is Hillary Clinton and the GOPe uniparty. They assure that they win no matter what happens outside the beltway.
Yup, if anyone thinks their vote counts, think again. And the fact that it is mathematically impossible for Cruz or Kasich to reach the required 1237 before the convention, yet unlike all the other elections when this scenario became evident the losing candidates dropped out, this time the losers are staying in for the sole purpose of denying the peoples choice.
And yet it will take no money whatsoever to get me to “dump” the PACs and the corrupt GOP.
Take this Party and shove it
I ain’t votin’ here no more
The GOP done left and took all the reasons
I was votin’ for
You better not try to stand in my way
‘Cause I’m walkin’ out the door
Take this Party and shove it
I ain’t votin’ here no more
And not FOR anything.
Because being for something positive is hard. Cheaper to bribe and cajole.
“DUMP TRUMP !!”

There won’t be a brokered convention, and Cruz will win on the 2nd ballot.
You clearly just do not “get it”. See my tagline for what “it” is. And
“it” applies to the messiah Donald Trump also in spite of what His followers may wish.
Well they want to lose the presidency so bad to the Democraps like they did twice before.
I don’t believe I was speaking to you now was I. And while YOU may think Trump is some sort of messiah, I already have a Messiah and His Name is Yeshua (Jesus). Geez, get a grip.
Rubio has more delegates than K-Sick and he dropped out 3 weeks ago. That’s pathetic. This diagram really makes it clear that everybody still in the race is just trying to stop Trump and has absolutely no way to win. I don’t think there has ever been a race like this in U.S. history where everybody is just trying to block the frontrunner. This primary is so screwed up.
What baffles me, is the folks who consider themselves Conservatives who are willing to side with the RNC/GOPe positions here.
Ah, an open convention, is so fair to deny the largest single delegate winner.
Folks are buying into this. Good grief.
