Wednesday, April 6, 2016, beginning at 7:00 PM EDT, GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump will hold a campaign rally in Bethpage, NY at Grumman Studios. With two weeks to go until the New York primary on April 19, this will be Mr. Trump’s first campaign event in his home state of New York.
Bethpage is a hamlet located on Long Island within the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, New York, United States, as well as a census-designated place with borders slightly different from those of the hamlet. Population: 16,429.

I remember thinking Romney would take PA because Obama said he was shutting down coal mines. People get in a rut and vote what their families have done for years. My dad was a big Union Democrat. Fortunately a Movie star appeared and my Democrat up bring was thrown out the door.
I saw John Kennedy in down town Louisville when he was running for President. Wow! He was better looking in person. I was a very young impressional girl then who wasn’t old enough to vote. Now, talk about a fixed race!! He was given no chance until the mob stepped in especially in Chicago to make sure he won.

I have some other thoughts on this put your tin foil on. We know the clintoons have sucked up to the GOP and to the Bushes. The cruz sex scandal is not getting legs, just yet. I would bet the whole plan is to make cruz the GOP candidate, break the sex scandal in the middle of cruz run so there is no way he will be elected and lose to Hillary. So the elites carry on with there corrupt ways, JMHO

I’m back. I think your right about Trump’s last minute rallies. He really went into the farm areas he knew he would be toughest and even gave it a shot at an area he had little chance. He I’m sure thought people from other areas might be there too. He was also positive at his rallies about telling his supporters he might win. People like to hear that from the man they are backing.
The demographics are somewhat similar to Long Island, although the percentage of descendants of British and Dutch colonial settlers is higher than in the New York metro area. Long Island at least has the advantage of its proximity to New York City; north of Interstate 84, this is not the case. The economic problems of the upstate and western areas of the Empire State are largely the result of deindustrialization. Environmental regulations and outsourcing heavy industry to Mexico and overseas are major reasons for the loss of industrial base. Remember that until the 1960s, the GOP was the party of high tariffs. From the Civil War until the 1970s, Republicans dominated the upstate and western New York congressional delegation. They consistently favored higher tariffs to support companies like Eastman Kodak and U.S. Steel.
Western New York was characterized recently by National Review author Kevin Williamson as filled with degenerate, drug addled white trash, similar to Kentucky and his native West Texas. Mr. Williamson and his cohorts will probably be disappointed in the primary results from Long Island and upstate and western New York.
I agree 100%, have no idea what else we can do, Trump needs to start kicking butt on the ground game. Trump just hired Paul Manafort last week. So Manafort is just getting his feet wet...time for Trump to spend that money....

Dobbs and Newt were talking about Trump doing the Policy speeches. Newt was in agreement that it was a good thing. Dobbs says he really had to give Trump credit for discussing issues even though most of the media claims he doesn’t talk anything of substance. Newt said his speech to the Jewish crowd (sorry I can’t remember the initials off hand) was VERY good! He said he was hoping Trump would begin the policy speeches then to get a jump on it. Newt and Dodds discussing issues are really a good pair.
I don’t have a crystal ball. Trump needs to wins the states he’s suppose to win yes he does.

I have a lot from my great aunt, aunts, and mom that I want to sell. I don’t want to do a garage sale b/c of potential theft as I would have to have it outside (I don’t want anyone in my home or our family home). Selling each piece on craigslist would be very time consuming. I found an antique store not far away that wants to look at it, but I suspect they won’t pay much for each piece as they are going to want to make money.
Most of the pieces are from the 60-90s, but there are some that are from the 30-40s or possibly older.
Do you have any suggestions to how/where to sell?
I heard bikers were going but the two main roads will be closed. YOu have to go to one of 5 locations to get a shuttle bus or you can walk down the closed roads. Looks like they are going to keep the unwashed masses far from the civilized people. : )
I’ve looked on Fox Biz site and couldn’t find. What I think I heard was that Trump was ahead by about 55% but that Kasich was SECOND and Cruz was THIRD. I think that what was the big news is - Kasich moved ahead of Cruz in NY (not sure it was so “stunning” as Cavuto was tooting it).
Cruz is going to be campaigning in the Bronx.
