Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump doubled-down Sunday night on his comments that the US should do a better deal with Japan, South Korea and other allies, saying they should pay more for Americas protection while taking a greater role in their defense including building their own nuclear weapons
"If you start raising that minimum wage, you're going to make a lot of our companies even more non-competitive," he said.
Trump also delved into his plans to change the nation's tax code by "simplifying" it.
He also renewed his promise to repeal ObamaCare though he again wouldnt offer specifics about what would replace it.

It all sounds good to me and I think also to most other people.
He quadrupled down if you’ve been paying any attention.
Penny wise, pound foolish.
And I do not see how it would be better if Saudi Arabia had nukes.
This shows he understand theres a problem but not the root of the problem, the progressive tax policy.
Fair vs. Free.
Not a hard concept.
Did Trump say the other nations should pay to build their own nuclear weapons? I didn’t hear that.
You again.
Where did Trump say Saudi Arabia should be allowed to get nuclear weapons vs. pay for our protection?
Not only are you a Borish twit and Arrogant poofter - you’re dishonest, the worst of them all.
It sounds good to me as well. And it also sounds good to the guys who pack their lunches, then punch in at the local factory. And it sounds good to the folks who are trying for better than part-time work at the dollar store.
And it sounds better to the folks who are tired of paying taxes to support welfare bums, Europe, etc.
There’s a lot of that going on around here. People make up stuff. Most times I post a link to whomever is the one making the statement. Or provide factual evidence such as when Trump’s father died and when there was a payout. Etc.
Sounds like he wants to cut national defense too to reduce deficit, by trying to reduce or eliminate the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between the United States and Japan that was signed after WW2.
In addition, circumvent Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons so that Japan and South Korea can have nukes? Can we let Taiwan have nukes too? after all, if nukes are illegal only rogue nations would have them.
Honest question, are we fine with that, cutting defenses (among other things) by reducing expenses in NATO?
I don’t think he said he wants to cut defense and I don’t think he would. Having a strong defense is one of the things we need “to make America great again”.
I punch in at the factory, and Trump may end up costing me my job. But hey, let’s make America great again.
“Where did Trump say Saudi Arabia should be allowed to get nuclear weapons...?”
Are you against that?
Are you claiming Trump didn’t say it would be better if Saudi Arabia had nuclear weapons.
Yes, that is possible. In my opinion, there's a 20% chance that Trump is a fraud of some sort. If that 20% proves true, then your job - and mine - is truly at risk.
But that leaves an 80% chance (again, in my opinion) that Trump is the real deal. I'm a gambling man, and I'll take that chance.
I’m pretty sure that I’ve read that the Saudis already have one or more nukes.
Cash in advance in gold you EU Socialist weenies
vows to repeal ObamaCare
and start deporting illegals that show up in emergency rooms.
Go Trump!
Breitbart headline: Trump: I Hate Proliferation But It Would Be Better if Japan, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea Had Nuclear Weapons
I must acknowledge Trump was too incoherent to really know what he was saying.
