Trump plans to choose experienced politician for VP
The Hill ^ | April 2, 2016 | Evelyn Rupert

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said he is "95 percent" sure he would pick a veteran politician for vice president if elected.

He said he would choose “somebody that can walk into the Senate and who’s been friendly with these guys for 25 years, and people for 25 years and can get things done" in an extensive interview with The Washington Post published Saturday.

“So I would 95 percent see myself picking a political person, as opposed to somebody from the outside," he said.

Oh it went very well as their body language gave away. However optics are an issue so they would not expose the torpedoing of Cruz right away. Better let it be a gracious loss so the slow ones supporting Paul Ryan, er, Cruz are not too upset and will come back into the fold.

Wow, it would be apse have a happy day politically has we have not seen in years if it is Sessions. The only concern I have is that we have someone who can take the reigns for 8 more years. I would still vote for them.

I really think the Trump organization should be thinking about creating a Farm team, and filling it with really outstanding young people. Train them and let them pick up the torch for the next generation.

“””Lindsey Graham ? “””” Only if he wanted to corner the queer vote. But the more I thought about his description - It is sorta like Hillary, but mostly describing Harry Reid. That is almost exactly who fits his description and fits his bill.

Trump/Reid 2016.

Probably knowing how the system works and how to get things done in DC.

Trump hires project managers to do those exact things when he builds his hotels and apartment buildings in whatever state it might be.

He’ll be bringing business expertise to the Oval, something we haven’t had ever before.

Newt is kryptonite to the socons. I wonder if him being on the ticket would cause them to not vote for Trump? That’s the question.

After all is said and done Cruz will slide off to the sidelines. His career in the senate is a joke now and he wont ever rise to anyone position. His popularity in Texas is diminished, as seen by his low ratings in the primary..failed to get 50% in his home state! The politicians endorsing him cant stand him and he has no friends anywhere. He brings nothing..nada to the table. Maybe he thinks he will go on to the SCOTUS but that will never happen either.

Trump is a meritocrat. His business is a meritocracy. No games, politics, bs. Delever, or you’re out. Hiring, promotions and salary are based on merit. What a concept for Washington.

Thing is, Trump wants someone with 25 years behind him/her. That makes it rather difficult to find a young energetic person.

Honestly, I think of Tom Cotton and Allan West - but they don’t have that much experience. All of the other young Republicans seem to be sell-outs.

Yeah, but he can divorce their choice, and choose a younger model. Or another one after that. ;)

He didn’t say 100% guaranteed, just that that was what he was currently thinking, 95%. Another option could arise. So far, he has made fantastic personnel choices. I trust his judgement.

Gibbs could slap them in the back of the head if they messed with him.

Hope not...Newt has some great qualities, but he’s ALWAYS been an amnesty/free traitor/Nafta type guy.

I trust his judgement.

Well he did say he thought Hillary did a great job as Senator, and then would probably make a great Secretary of State. And he did say he thought DeBlasio would make New York City great again.
