I just had some Chicken Cacciatore with rice left over from yesterday (I usually try to make 2-3 days worth of whatever so I don’t have to cook every day). It was a recipe I hadn’t tried before - it was OK - not super, but not bad and I was really hungry with all the talk about food :-)
I have a another chicken breast and am going to try something a bit different with it.

In southern Indiana and we’re told we have wind gust up to 50 and 60 mile an hour. I believe it!!! I have rugs out on the deck drying. A perfect day for it.

My mom used to make the best pot roasts with veggies and delicious gravy to go with. I’ve been thinking about a pot roast, but it’s way too much for just me. I may have to get one and cook it at my sisters’ so at least there will be more people to eat it.
Mom used to get rump roasts and sometimes chuck roasts (my sister called them stringy roasts when she was little and it stuck with the family over the years). Mom did a great job on both, heck, anything she cooked was great. I still miss her turkey dressing/stuffing - absolutely the best ever!

Actually, I’m moving to FL, TX or back to my native San Diego. I’ve yet to make my final decision. My two sons and 4 of my grandchildren live in San Diego, but my daughter and 2 grandchildren live on Grand Cayman so FL has its advantage and I have several friends in TX, along with a half brother and 2 half sisters. Another granddaughter visits GC often but she now resides in Canaduh, and she just came here to visit me.
San Diego is now over priced. Very expensive and I long ago sold my real estate, so I’d have to rent ... ugh. I much prefer FL’s weather or TX weather, but I am partial to residing on the beach. San Diego is only warm enough for my liking 4 months out of the year. Family is my draw to San Diego. The close proximity to GC is a draw to FL and to TX.
Decisions. Decisions. I just need to get OUT of here.

Make a BIG potroast and anything you dont want for sandwiches, can be the beginning of great stew OR beef vegetable soup and all of those freeze really well!
I am small in stature and that wind knocks me around.
I am staying inside now.
Just took dogs out. Partly cloudy but the roar from wind is unnerving. Heard one tree go down in the state forest. Haven’t found it yet. Hoping its on my property. Firewood for next winter.
