Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Trump’s one-time rival in the presidential campaign, discussed the topic on the radio Thursday with Fox News host Brian Kilmeade — and offered a ringing defense for the campaign manager.
Kilmeade began the segment by stating that Lewandowski had been arrested, when he was abruptly cut off by Huckabee proclaiming, “Whoa, whoa, whoa, he was not arrested.”
“That has been said, he was not arrested,” Huckabee continued. “He was charged and he walked himself in. There was no ‘arrest,’ no perp walk, no handcuffs, no mugshot.”

Some media outlets have reported that this office has brought charges against Corey Lewandowski, campaign manager for Donald Trump. These reports are false. Our office has taken no action against Mr. Lewandowski. The matter was investigated and charged by the Jupiter Police Department, not this office. We will await the file from the Jupiter Police Department and make a decision on how to proceed in this matter before Mr. Lewandowski’s May 4th arraignment.
Law enforcement charges on a probable cause standard. The State has to proceed on a legally higher standard of proof, which is beyond a reasonable doubt as well as whether there is a reasonable likelihood of a conviction. At this point, our office has not received the case.

Someone tweeted a pic of their arm with nearly identical ‘bruises’ to Fields’, using make up to make the fake bruises.
I don't know how/when it happened!...but nobody hit me.
All of the sudden this Lewandowski story has gone totally dark. Like it never happened. Could it be because this is a false accusation and it is going to end very badly for Fields and she is no longer a useful idiot?
She needs to be exposed.
IMHO, she's past the point where a lawsuit is appropriate. Of course, I mean that in the nicest possible way.
It stymies the mind how ignorant the American electorate is these days that they do not even know the difference between being arrested and walking in voluntarily to be booked for an alleged crime. Geez, talk about ‘low information voters’... the Canadian Cruz Liner is swarming with these ignorant masses.
She did it herself with her other hand - just look at it - plus it’s her forearm not her upper arm.
She might also be delusional, though more likely a fraud wanting attention. Has she asked for money to drop any of these cases?
By that logic, because Hollywood uses make-up to fake decapitations, ISIS is in the clear?

No, we don’t. Walking yourself in means that you were not arrested.
To “arrest” someone, you have to take control of them. They have no choice. He showed up and was issued a notice to appear. It is not the same thing as an arrest at all. He was never under the control of the police.

People are so blinded by hate that they would rather see Lewandowski hang for a false accusation than see Cruz lose.

Get your basic facts straight.
Michelle Fields did not help drive Allen West out of Congress. Long after West was out of Congress, Fields privately related an alleged incident to a blogger who had previously supported West’s bid to challenge the election results. When the blogger published it, Fields demanded a retraction. My guess is that Fields was trying to support a colleague (Sarah Mills) who alleged much more publicly that West had stripped in front of her.
I’ve met Michelle Fields. I didn’t know her so well as to be able to unequivocally vouch for her character. I’ll say this.
I see that there are two hypotheses:
1. Michelle likes to lie about people to make herself famous.
2. Michelle serves as a lightning rod, and responds forcefully when stuff happens to her.
Of the hypotheses, I’d find #2 the infinitely more easy to believe one.
She’ll be on probation, if she isn’t already, for having filed a false police report — unless of course she’s got some bulldagger attorney.
Nope...it means that the *bruises* are easily manufactured. The police likely got a medical report on her *injuries*.
And the media outlets that ran with it the false narrative. Trump will wait until he’s the nominee and then his attorneys will be all over this, like a hobo on a ham sandwich.
That is not hard to do.
