This will not end well.Cruz again is showing that he is a sleaze. Cruz would not make a good president.

Cruz is simply a sleazy character.

Playing by the rules. Sounds devious.

What are you worried about? I thought Trump was going to get to 1237 without any problems.

I don’t seen to remember anyone complaining when Ron Paul did the same thing four years ago.

I was a Cruz supporter, but the more I see this sort of thing happening, the more I support Trump. Cruz isn’t much better than one of the establishment guys.

This must be an April Fool’s joke since it implies that Cruz is actually smarter than Trump.

We all know that’s impossible.

And if Trump was doing this the Cruz people would go ballistic about how underhanded and evil Trump is

Cruz people love to portray their man is so squeaky clean and yet he’s one of the more sleazy politicians I’ve ever seen

Mr. Follow the Constitution to the letter and spirit?....well maybe he manipulates the Constitution the same way he they manipulating convention rules

I have mentioned this was going to happen for months, and The Trump followers assured me it wouldn't matter as he would have all the delegates he needs.

He will not get to 1237 delegates, thus Cruz will be the nominee.

I still say Trump drops out before the convention, while he still has delegate lead, blames RNC for stealing election and declares himself the winner. The one thing Trump cannot stand, and is about to happen, is he will be a loser.

Yeah Ted thinks the Republican party has his back. Just wait, they’ll throw him under the bus just as soon as he’s seved his purpose. That is prevent the rightful winner of his reward. I wouldn’t blame Trump a bit if he ran 3rd party.

For a while now, I've maintained that whoever wins the nomination will get my vote, despite the fact that I am a Trump supporter. If it's not Trump, it would be just a vote against Clinton and a hope for the best. If this proves to be true and Cruz somehow gets the nomination without securing the 80-something percent of the remaining delegates that he needs, this will be the thing to keep me home on election day, and the country can go to hell sink further into hell as far as I'm concerned.

Non eligible, not Natural Born Citizen, Cuban-Canadian, Pinocchio Ted attacking Big Donald at CNN freestyle match.

Cruz "character":

1. Phony summonses mailed out, scaring people to vote for Cruz.

2. Claiming Carson quit, presinc captains told voters "vote for Cruz"

3. Campaigning in the 800 churches, showing video "vote for me" with his preacher/father stomping for him. Rafael Cruz is a Seven Mountain Dominionist and believes his son is the anointed one.

4. "Brilliant" lawyer, did not know he was Canadian citizen and that he is not Natural Born Citizen, not eligible for office of P or VP.

5. Making phony video advertising with lies about opponents.

6. Uses Trump's wife in advertising "vote for Cruz" and then screams that Trump hates women, while he "loves them" - keeping few extra mistresses.

Just enough to beat Trump in IA, apologize, rinse and repeat?
Liar is the polite term for this Cuban-Canadian. His father was pro-communist in Cuba, imprisoned by Batista, but now he is refugee?

IRREFUTABLE AUTHORITY HAS SPOKEN

(Oct. 18, 2009) The Post & Email has in several articles mentioned that the Supreme Court of the United States has given the definition of what a "natural born citizen" is. Since being a natural born citizen is an objective qualification and requirement of office for the U.S. President (and VP), it is important for all U.S. Citizens to understand what this term means.

Oh you innocent children! You thought everyone would just play nice in the political sandbox?

Each candidate will use every rule they can to their advantage. What Cruz is doing is within the RNC rules. Ethical? Nope. The ethics of the delegates involved should be questioned.

this is not a children’s game, folks. It’s politics and its rough and dirty. It’s always been this way, we just hear a bit more about it now.

I think a lot of people on this thread aren’t understanding this is doing nothing wrong in of itself.

If Trump gets the magic number then it doesn’t matter how many delegates Cruz has seated, Trump is the nominee. This is because the delegates are bound by the rules to vote for whom they were elected to vote for by the people during the first ballot.

These same rules though say that after that first ballot (or voting round if you wish) if more voting is required (because no one reached the required number) then the delegates are free to vote as they wish.

It’s on Trump and him alone if he didn’t (doesn’t) have the smarts to realize this and ensure (he doesn’t ensure now) that the delegates that are being elected to vote for him are truly loyal to him.

There’s no usurping of the people’s will here. The delegates elected to vote for Trump at the convention will do so as required by the rules. On the first ballot. End of discussion. All of this (what’s discussed in the article) only will come into play if no one has the magic number come convention time.

So I don’t know what the Trump supporters are worried about. Aren’t you confident Trump is going to reach the magic number anyway? Where’s all that bravado that’s told the rest of us for months now that “it’s over”?
