Police are now investigating reports of a bomb found in a package carried by an unidentified woman entering the Peoria International Airport Thursday morning.
The bomb was discovered while the woman was trying to check the package at the American Airlines counter, prompting the airport to partially evacuate the premises and enter lock-down.
The package contained dynamite, a timer and bottles of fluid, which were found during a routine scan by TSA officials . . .

People who are office workers need to see a "demonstration bomb" for their day-to-day roles?
If I receive a suspicious package at work...I darn well will know it is a suspicious package. Sheesh.

That has to be the damn dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Bombs can be constructed to look like almost
anything, so having one sample to take around is absolutely pointless.
Plus, a timer attached to a bunch of simulated dynamite is probably not an example that would have required much "training" anyway.
To: Fresh Wind
That was my first thought. I think this is the first time that TSA has ever found anything dangerous.

Doesn’t she carry some kind of identification and reason & explanation of the device? Why is it necessary to have liquid in the jars? Can’t she just fill them with water when she gets where she’s going? For that matter, why can’t she assemble the thing when she gets where she’s going so she doesn’t shut down an airport?

“Police at a press conference said the woman is a trainer who travels to abortion clinics with the demonstration bomb to teach them what bombs look like.”
Must have been a good model. Stupid freaks. Hope they get the bill for this idiocy.

Is that what we can expect to hear from the brainless media?

She’ll get an invite to the White House.
To: Maceman
Will she be invited to the White House to talk about her “cool” invention? Will she get a scholarship from MIT? How about a thumbs-up from Barry’s old neighbor, Billy-the-Bomber Ayers?

Authorities better not have laid a finger on her. There are cameras all over that place and the surveillance footage would show how just a little tug or nudge could result in assault charges...Like Michelle Fields, the little terrorist.

Police at a press conference said the woman is a trainer who travels to abortion clinics with the demonstration bomb to teach them what bombs look like. So the TSA actually DIDN'T find their first ever bomb? My bad....

so having one sample to take around is absolutely pointless. The "point" is to try to convince abortion center employees that they are under assault by the "evil" pro-life people. The intent is to get these employees to ignore the fact that their jobs are taking lives and stopping beating hearts and get them to focus on the external bogey-man. This woman is a fear monger.
To: dfwgator
Wow. Using bombs to perform abortions is pretty radical. Is it a danger to the mother?
