Memo to Ted Cruz (Vanity)
March 31, 2016 | Din Maker

Posted on 03/31/2016 6:17:12 AM PDT by Din Maker

MEMO TO TED CRUZ: Senator Cruz, throughout your entire campaign you have stated repeatedly: "The American people know that I will do exactly what I say I will do." Well, Mr. Cruz, my question for you is: WHAT ABOUT THE PLEDGE? You're breaking your word on that so you will break your word on anything else you choose to. I once thought you were the Messiah to the GOP, but in the past month or so I have come to see you as just another lying, sleazy, scumbag politician.

“trump is waffling so much, who knows what he believes in.”

I know Trump believes in our country and the people of our country. I know Trump is the only one calling out Hillary and Trump wants to protect us, not force us to coddle the Islamists. I know Trump has helped dozens of private citizens in meaningful ways out of the public spotlight. That includes veterans.

That’s enough for me.

Many Trump supporters use more nuanced phraseology such as “booger-eater.”

“He knows he is not eligible and is running anyway and he refuses to release the documents would have been needed to confirm his citizenship as a U.S. citizen.”

Can you imagine the outcry if Trump had been born in Canada and refused to release the documents needed to confirm his citizenship as a U.S. citizen?

What “pledge”?

Have any other candidates backed away from that “pledge”?

If so, are they also “just another lying, sleazy, scumbag politician” (to use your words)?

He knows he is not eligible and is running anyway and he refuses to release the documents
would have been needed to confirm his citizenship as a U.S. citizen.

************

What documents would that be? Cruz had citizenship via his mom but natural born is the hang
up as I see it. Now we know papa Cruz was a Cuban and didn’t get US citizenship until 2005.
Seems it wasn’t an important item for him.

There is no “sex scandal”.

Well, Mr. Cruz, my question for you is: WHAT ABOUT THE PLEDGE? You're breaking your word on that so you will break your word on anything else you choose to.

Hmmmm, Cruz said he would solve that problem by beating Trump and making sure he wasn't the nominee.

Trump said he was rescinding his promise because "I have been treated very unfairly."

Kasich said that “if the nominee is somebody that I think is really hurting the country and dividing the country, I can’t stand behind them.” But he said he would wait and see how events unfold.

Looks like Cruz isn't the only one that can't be trusted since Trump and Kasich also "broke" their word.

I’m a Trump supporter, but this post is - for lack of a better word - “stupid”. Yikes.

Speaking as a Cruz supporter, there has been a dearth of discourse of issues on both sides. IMO, the Cruz/Trump battle is akin to two sabre tooth tigers in a death match over mating rights, and they've ended up in the Brea Tar Pits. Both combatants are doomed.

I'm disappointed with this turn of events.

You're part of the Jeb, Boehner, McConnell, Ryan king-makers?

Shirley (intended) you don't really believe our mere votes make a difference, even if you're a delegate. Bwahaha! How naive.

When Trump gets the nomination I hope these losers-cruzers realize that they missed the biggest political upheaval since Lincoln. They are on the wrong side of history and at that point re evaluate posting their opinions on a political website ever again. They are tainted. They should lose all confidence in themselves to evaluate politics or participate. There opinion means nothing.

You've articulated it beautifully! Couldn't agree more. Part of me wants to sleep through this until November and just wake up and vote already.

These documents and Cruz's philandering will suddenly become very very very important if there is a brokered convention. Bet on it.

The GOPe is using Cruz. They don't want him as a candidate. He is a mere tool.

Even if the guy does get the second vote, who do they think is going to vote for him after that?

It’s an empty victory of you disenfranchise the majority of voters. If the front-runner doesn’t get the nomination it’s OVER! It will be President Clinton.

This Cruz/GOPe brokered convention wet dream needs to end now!

Steal the vote, reap the consequences.

“Oh....the same “pledge” Trump just broke?”

Impossible to break the pledge at this time, liar. To break it a candidate would have had to have been nominated and Trump not back them. Until the RNC convention it isn’t possible to break the pledge.

You’re such a partisan idiot.
