Things have gotten way out of control here as of late. You know as well as most of us, that this war must end and end now, or your forum will end up being nothing more than a joke.
I humbly suggest that you not just request, but demand, that everyone step back and take a serious look at the slanderous comments being made by both camps. Debate is one thing, but what is happening is no longer a debate. This forum is on the verge of a civil war. A war that need not happen. For the good of this great forum, I and many I have talked to on both sides of the war admit things have gone too far.
I am a Ted Cruz supporter, yet I call on all my fellow Cruz supporters to put the knives back in the sheaths, as I ask the same of all you Trump supporters.
This civil war of Freeper against Freeper must end, or the result will inevitably be a complete destruction of this once great forum.
I begin by laying down my weapons as a gesture of good will. From hence forth I will not post any comments that are just knee jerk angry remarks that only serve to fuel the fires of hate and animosity.
We all have a common enemy in this fight, the eventual Democrat Presidential Nominee. I suggest we all remember this, because a house divided upon itself cannot stand, nor defeat the enemy.
I also offer this promise to everyone. Should Trump win the nomination, I promise to fight as hard, and as passionate, for him to become POTUS as I will for Cruz.
Who is the victim you are talking about? Donald Trump?
We should all be victimized with that kind of money...

Critical news on either candidate is part of a reasonable debate, but outrageous allegations, emotive “arguments,” flame wars and personal attacks are not.
What we see now is not reasonable debate about critical information, we see a war going on. . .among ourselves. . .and if this trend continues there will be no survivors.
Perhaps we stop the knee-jerk, foaming the the mouth reactions of Trump/Cruz supporters if their sainted choice is questioned.
Perhaps we stop those that go immediately into attack-dog mode when questioned rather than debate.
Perhaps we stop those that accuse Trump/Cruz of being evil.
Perhaps we stop the circular firing squad where we shoot each other while hitlery remains unscathed.
Perhaps we remember the Supreme Court will be in play for generations and we simply must agree we cannot allow hitlery (or Bernie if she is in jail) to pick the next three justices. We MAY not “like” Trump or Cruz picks, but we KNOW we will NOT like hitlery/Bernie picks.
Perhaps we can agree the future of our great nation is truly at stake and hitlery/Bernie are the true enemy that must never be allowed near the oval office.

Targeting people for the purpose of expressing disagreement is sure no way to keep the peace. Not that it works for everybody, but I keep a "do not reply" list, which saves me energy in the long run, and avoids hard feelings.

Quick serious question: I see allegations against Cruz being part of the system, being cozy with the opposition but at the same time, we see he is despised by the same Senate/establishment he is supposedly working in cahoots with.
So. . .at the same time he is part of the system and working with the opposition, but also a hard-line TEA-party conservative that is doesn’t compromise and doesn’t work with the establishment (both sides) in DC. Serious question, not trolling for a fight.

Yesterday I was buying 2 large bags of Purina dog chow at WalMart for my dogs Shadow and Lady.
I was about to check out when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog.
What did she think, that I had an elephant?
Since I had little else to do, on impulse, I told her that No, I didn’t have a dog - that I was starting the Purina Diet again, although I probably shouldn’t because I ended up in the hospital last time. On the bright side though, I’d lost 50 pounds before I awakened in intensive care with tubes coming out of every hole in my body and IVs in both arms.
I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry and that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was enthralled with my story by now.)
Horrified, She asked : “Did you end up in intensive care because the dog food had poisoned you?”
I said: No not at all; I had stopped in the middle of the parking lot to lick my ass and a car hit me.
The guy behind her was laughing so hard, I thought he was going to have a heart attack!
Walmart won’t let me shop there anymore.

I really have to agree with this. The 2008 and 2012 election cycles were like a warm breeze compared to the storm that is this year’s election cycle. It has torn us apart much better than anything the DUmmies could dream of putting together.
