JIm It's Time You Demand A Truce In Cruz/Trump War!
Me

Posted on 03/30/2016 3:09:28 PM PDT by OneVike

Jim;

Things have gotten way out of control here as of late. You know as well as most of us, that this war must end and end now, or your forum will end up being nothing more than a joke.

I humbly suggest that you not just request, but demand, that everyone step back and take a serious look at the slanderous comments being made by both camps. Debate is one thing, but what is happening is no longer a debate. This forum is on the verge of a civil war. A war that need not happen. For the good of this great forum, I and many I have talked to on both sides of the war admit things have gone too far.

I am a Ted Cruz supporter, yet I call on all my fellow Cruz supporters to put the knives back in the sheaths, as I ask the same of all you Trump supporters.

This civil war of Freeper against Freeper must end, or the result will inevitably be a complete destruction of this once great forum.

I begin by laying down my weapons as a gesture of good will. From hence forth I will not post any comments that are just knee jerk angry remarks that only serve to fuel the fires of hate and animosity.

We all have a common enemy in this fight, the eventual Democrat Presidential Nominee. I suggest we all remember this, because a house divided upon itself cannot stand, nor defeat the enemy.

I also offer this promise to everyone. Should Trump win the nomination, I promise to fight as hard, and as passionate, for him to become POTUS as I will for Cruz.

Only person attacking Cruz is Trump retaliating

Trump is getting it from pretty much everywhere with most of it from our own team

You aren’t the one who needs a truce

Your man is collaborating with the sworn enemies of those who have driven our country in the ground

It’s beyond ridiculous

Fox News is now a kill trump Fellini movie with Megyn Kelly’s anti Trump orgasms one after another

Did you see tonight’s show

It’s like what they did to Newt four years ago but on crack

Cruz supporters don’t need a truce, they need to be honest about what they are doing and who they have sided with

FR is and will always remain pro-God, pro-family, pro-America. Get that right and the rest of conservatism takes care of itself.

Trouble is, those qualities are not de facto solely conservative. Many of the unionized Democrat types are all of those things. Those folks are also pro-union, pro-welfare state, and pro-choice. In other words, Donald Trump's cross-over voters, and Donald Trump himself until he decided to change his stripes to run as a Republican.

And that's the real tragedy on FR - someone only slightly more conservative than Bill Clinton is being touted as a viable candidate and the folks doing it haven't been banned to Democrat Underground. Instead, folks are being told to vote the party come November. When Trump loses to Hillary, we'll then be blamed for it.

Sad. Sadder still, there's someone passionate about the Constitution running, someone we all would have been obscenely happy to vote for in 2012. But we get "Lyin' Ted" and the like, as the wolf in sheep's clothing talks about the wall that he'll never build. Pray for the nation.

Wait, can I still talk about praying for the nation? Lot's of FReepers seem to be spreading hate for Christian beliefs of late - the pro-God thing might need a refresher.

I am so in agreement with Jim.
“FR is and will always remain pro-God, pro-family, pro-America. Get that right and the rest of conservatism takes care of itself.”
The issue is what is “ conservatism”. I see no conservatism in TPP, Nafta, WTO, Iraq, Syria,Obamacare , Neocon “one world order” crap.
I will support the annihilation of Hillary politically by Trump. Cruz has no chance. He is nor eligible because he was not born on our soil. He is a citizen but the Constitution in Article two, for a very good reason required a natural born ( as apposed to foreign born person) to be President. That is the elephant in the living room. You cannot deny it away.

If Trump is cheated out of the nomination...

Define "cheated". If he fails to make the magic number on the first ballot, and Cruz wins the second ballot, that's not "cheated", that's how the convention works. If, however, you define that as cheated, make a big deal out of it, and then publicly stay home, then, yes, you'll be blamed. Because, to be blunt, you'll be exhibiting the petulant "nothing is my fault" attributes Trump exhibits all too often.

And I'll add this - if Trump gets the number on the first or subsequent ballots, yes, I'll vote for him.

I’ve heard, read and enjoyed thousands of really great jokes!

Can’t retell any of them correctly, because I ALWAYS manage to mess up either the timing or the punchline.

But thanks for asking, because I really enjoyed reading other people’s jokes on this thread.

Well, perhaps as women we are more sensitive about looks (i hope I can say that in the PC world in which we live); however, Melania was the object of eh, well not an insult, but it was very degrading what the Cruz PAC did to her with a 16 year old picture, and Cruz did nothing to dial it down or call it back...No criticism—Tho it probably was not wisest thing to do, I can understand why Trump tweeted the pic of Heidi that he did. As I understand it, it was the Cruz campaign manager who requested rights to Melania’s pic from GQ.

I personally did not appreciate the lack of support from Cruz towards Trump and the Chicago Rally supporters.

You have been here long enough to know this ‘war’ breaks out every 4 years. Yeah it is bad, it is always bad, but we always get over it.

I’m grateful Jim lets us hash it out.

Agree.

I’m also a Cruz supporter but will vigorously support Trump if nominated. The problem is the trash between the camps may lead to another clinton administration.

I don’t believe you read my post completely. What I referred to was entirely different than the, ‘insult my candidate insult me’ theory. What I am referring to is the egregious name calling. The most repulsive being Trumpanzie. There is no need for any of this asinine type behavior. Wouldn’t you agree?

You’re opposing Trump on the basis of what his ancestors did 100 years ago. I am saying yours likely did a whole lot worse. They dehumanized their fellow Americans. This one ancestor of Trump’s seems to have served Canadian minors with what they wanted, with what is legal in Nevada. Two or three generations before Trump existed. It’s an absurd argument you make, and one that reveals the depth of your derangement.

Two men were sitting next to each other at Murphy’s Pub in London. After awhile, one bloke looks at the other and says, ‘I can’t help but think, from listening to you, that you’re from Ireland

The other bloke responds proudly, ‘Yes, that I am!’

The first one says, ‘So am I! And where about from Ireland might you be?’

The other bloke answers, ‘I’m from Dublin , I am.’

The first one responds, ‘So am I!’ ‘Mother Mary and begora. And what street did you live on in Dublin ?’

The other bloke says, ‘A lovely little area it was. I lived on McCleary Street in the old central part of town.’

The first one says, ‘Faith and it’s a small world. So did I! So did I! And to what school would you have been going?’

The other bloke answers, ‘Well now, I went to St. Mary’s, of course.’

The first one gets really excited and says, ‘And so did I. Tell me, what year did you graduate?’

The other bloke answers, ‘Well, now, let’s see. I graduated in 1964.’

The first one exclaims, ‘The Good Lord must be smiling down upon us! I can hardly believe our good luck at winding up in the same place tonight. Can you believe it, I graduated from St. Mary’s in 1964 my own self!’

About this time, Vicky walks up to the bar, sits down and orders a drink.

Brian, the barman, walks over to Vicky, shaking his head and mutters, ‘It’s going to be a long night tonight.’

Vicky asks, ‘Why do you say that, Brian?’

‘The Murphy twins are drunk again.’

“The problem is, that Cruz cannot win.”

So explain why Trump is trailing Hillary by 11% and Cruz is beating her by 3% in the latest head to head poll.

For the record, I don’t think Trump nor Cruz can beat Hillary. I’m just wondering why Trump supporters think he can beat Hillary when he is getting trounced by her.

As I understand it, it was the Cruz campaign manager who requested rights to Melania’s pic from GQ.
*******************************************
See, that’s what makes it so hard to have a real discussion with Trump supporters. You know darn well it was not a Cruz super pac, and there is zero evidence that Cruz requested the rights to the picture.
However, if Cruz’s wife’s former job is fair game, than so is Melania’s.

Also, lets be clear. That photo shoot was set up by Trump, he was pimping his then girlfriend for “his” GQ interview. It was done on his plane when he was launching his campaign for the reform party.
Read the whole disgusting article for yourself, then talk to me about who is degrading whom.
