Things have gotten way out of control here as of late. You know as well as most of us, that this war must end and end now, or your forum will end up being nothing more than a joke.
I humbly suggest that you not just request, but demand, that everyone step back and take a serious look at the slanderous comments being made by both camps. Debate is one thing, but what is happening is no longer a debate. This forum is on the verge of a civil war. A war that need not happen. For the good of this great forum, I and many I have talked to on both sides of the war admit things have gone too far.
I am a Ted Cruz supporter, yet I call on all my fellow Cruz supporters to put the knives back in the sheaths, as I ask the same of all you Trump supporters.
This civil war of Freeper against Freeper must end, or the result will inevitably be a complete destruction of this once great forum.
I begin by laying down my weapons as a gesture of good will. From hence forth I will not post any comments that are just knee jerk angry remarks that only serve to fuel the fires of hate and animosity.
We all have a common enemy in this fight, the eventual Democrat Presidential Nominee. I suggest we all remember this, because a house divided upon itself cannot stand, nor defeat the enemy.
I also offer this promise to everyone. Should Trump win the nomination, I promise to fight as hard, and as passionate, for him to become POTUS as I will for Cruz.
Yeah, I do. the RNC and Hillary Clinton. Sorry, they are not funny..but they do qualify as jokes.
Unfortunately, people are being zotted. Those people are all Cruz supporters who have done nothing but irriate the wrong person.
Yes, but it never got this bad. I was part and partial to the discussions, and they paled in comparison.
I will say that the discussion leading up to and involving the night of the long knives was more similar.
Started out innocuous, but built and built till it exploded beyond control.
Many arguments, much blood, and relationships destroyed. Some have healed since, many have not.
You get stuck with sub-standard candidates, this is what happens.

No, Reagan was a small government conservative. Trump is a big government, authoritarian liberal without even a basic understanding of the constitution. He could not be less Reaganesque if he tried. Reagan persuaded voters with conservatism. Trump constantly parrots left-wing talking points and attacks fellow Republicans from the left. Reagan stood for something. Trump days whatever he thinks might get him the votes he needs in the given moment.

But we do it to every single candidate that declares, and the MSM is all too happy to goad us right along. They won’t do damage control for us like they do the RATs.

You can’t make people like one candidate or the other, that’s a liberal play.
But that wasn’t my point. Allegations are not facts is what I’m saying.
Trump’s been accused of a lot too, but I need to see the facts, not just a newspaper story.
I think it is a vicious insult to say they’d approve child pornography/rape just to support their candidate.
Only a couple that I remember right off hand were booted for that and that was only after I already had a stomach full of their stench. Can only handle a few thousand insults and flames in a row until my delicate sensibilities get upset. But I’ll promise this. If a whole lot of people continue posting that they won’t vote for our nominee (Trump/Cruz or whomever) after one has won the primary, a whole lot of people will find themselves sitting it out from FR for the duration.
Nice try....but it appears (as evidenced by several posters comments), that you’ve just started another opportunity for Ted Cruz to be bashed. Yay.
