I shouldnt be surprised that Cosmopolitan, a magazine devoted to exploiting women as sex objects, now has a video taking its sexism to a new level. In the new video Couples Talk about Gun Ownership, women are shown discussing guns and gun-control issues with their significant others. Within seconds, the viewer is aware that Cosmopolitan believes women think guns are scary death machines, men that own guns are probably domestic abusers, and the Second Amendment is worthy of nothing more than an eye roll.

A pleasant surprise over the years has been how resilient guns rights are. Considering the clerisy has been after guns for my entire life they have failed to move the needle as they have with about every other cultural issue.

My submachine gun instructor might have a bit of an issue with that. Her name is Kathy.

My daughter, when she was college age, made this observation about why she thinks
Cosmopolitan is trash.
All its articles are about two topics:
- Why all men are pigs.
- How to catch men.

I added the “banglist” keyword to this article, but knowing it was about Cosmo magazine, it felt icky.

My daughter practically gushes over the merits of her Tavor and tells me what a piece of crap the M4 we old timers were given.
We do agree on Glocks, however.
That said, given that I am a pilot, if I ever have to use a small arm, I’m pretty well a dead Jew anyway, I’ll just agree with her.

Cosmo should stick to what it does best, i.e. garbage.

I'm willing to bet that the number of women in the US who own guns and know how to use them greatly exceeds Cosmopolitan's reader base, and the rate at which gun ownership among women is growing greatly exceeds Cosmopolitan magazine's subscription growth rate.

I agree. Liberal women should not own guns. That would be icky!

Gun range where I practice has had a Ladies Day for quite a while. It is getting beyond full and wait lines are long so gals going on other days. Now the guys are complaining because lines are so long almost every day that they have to wait.
I seriously doubt if any of the women at this range waste their money on Cosmopolitan - they are more likely saving their money up for ammo or yet another gun.
